I remember being blown away with TTT graphics. Honestly still looks good.
I played it at the arcade just about every weekend before the ps2 version came out. I had no idea the console version was getting a graphical upgrade until I saw it in motion. It was jaw dropping. And I agree. It still looks great.

fun fact: The tekken tag opening theme was used later for Tekken 5 in the "Waterfall" stage. In the soundtrack, the title is called "Formless like water" referencing to Bruce Lee's famous quotes.

The announcer in TTT is actually the same person who portrayed Alucard from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
One of the first games I played on the PS2 next to Oni. This was a really fun fighting game and a tribute to the first three games. Not to mention some nice easter eggs like Kazuya and Devil becoming one character if you select them.

Oni was awful, I thought. I hated the game, lol. I would try it again nowadays though. I used to play that and Kinetica with my cousin when I was little. That game was pretty dope.

Only in Tekken can you punch a polar bear into the air and then punch it in the crotch as it's airborne.
Say what you will about Tekken; they got the Airborne-Polar-Bear-Dick-Punching demographic on LOCK.

Fun fact: in the earlier games, Harada himself did Law's Bruce Lee-like shouts. He also actually practices Karate and Taekwondo. Not sure if he did Judo too.

Δημήτρης Μπάρδας tag 2 is available on the psnow but that thing is crap the best option for tag 2 is the x1 backward list and for tag 1 the ps3 remastered version.
MrMikehunt87 tag 1 has been remastered on ps3 bundled with the blood vengeance movie it also give those owners the exclusive devil forms skins for both Kazuya and Jin from the movie to use in Tag 2.
Or you can have pc and play any tekken you want whenever you want. Magic

Tekken tag is one of the best tekkens even though not cannon. Definitely one of the best soundtracks of the series and having everyone from the series. Loved this game

The intro blew me away back then. Such a huge jump from PS1 and Dreamcast even. The bridge between CGI graphics and gameplay got much closer. I skipped T3 since my friend had it but neither of us saw this coming when my grandpa sent me a PS2, this game and Mega Man X5 in a care package from Japan. Best part is none of us knew about any of this.
Man, even to this day, Tekken Tag Tournament 1 remains one of my favourites, if not MY PERSONAL favourite Tekken game ever.
Everything about this game is so cool! The gameplay is fun, the soundtrack is amazing, the stages and all the stuff happening in the background is awesome, and there's almost every character that I love in Tekken right in there!
And I must say, watching Max and Steve doing those cool tag combos together... it really made my night! Congratulation, guys! :)

Although I have the original release for the PS2 and the HD remaster for the PS3, it sucks how 1 on 1 Mode was excluded in the HD version.

Ah yes Tekken Tag 1 (A.K.A. Tekken 3.5). This game is the reason I'm a Tekken fan today and it remains to be my 2nd favorite Tekken game. I'm super hyped for Tekken 7.

Ya see I miss these old games because they added all those goofy side games with the main game. Games these days don't have those odd gems anymore........GAMES.
It's hard for me to explain why, but I have a feeling this one is my favorite Tekken game. The atmosphere about it is just so...special. The aesthetic, the menus, the character selection, the soundtrack, the stages...(especially Xiayou's stage!)

7:18 never noticed before how much the carousel stage's music reminds me of Jamiroqui's "Canned Heat" song. Probably just coincidence though, since the song came out just one month before the game did; doubt there would've been enough time for the game's composer to have both been inspired by it and had time to compose it and put it in the game. More likely it's just a sign of acid jazz's prevalence in video games at the time. Still interesting, though.

I've played all Tekken games but this was definitely the most memorable of them all. Everything about the game blew me away. And it being a PS4 launch game, the graphics were like nothing I had seen. Appreciate you uploading this one Max.

Tekken Tag Tournament and Zone of the Enders are the reasons why I had a PS2 and were easily some of the happiest moments for me to be gaming. It def felt like the dawn of a new age for video games here.
This is was the very first fighting game I have ever played and now I am a huge fan of fighting games...all because of this game.

I remember watching gameplay footage of this game on a PS2 DVD included in a PS2 magazine.
The graphics and character models look exactly like the Tekken 3 CG Cutscenes and it blew me away! Since then i never had the same impression for years until footage of Tekken 7 PC running max settings was shown. It looks like a CG movie!!!
Till now Tekken tag 1 will always be my favourite and Tekken 7 is up there too

My 1st PS2 game at launch. This game was breathtaking and that damn good! It was a step forward from what I've played before. The characters looked amazing compared to Tekken 3 because of what the PS2 was capable at that time! This game is truly a masterpiece and deserves a spot in the museum as well alongside with Tekken 3!

My first Tekken game. Then I got Tekken 6 and the original trilogy, so Tekken Tag still holds a special place in my heart for being an amalgamation of all of those old Tekken games.
I remember playing this with my sister as a kid. This was my first Tekken and will always be dear to me. Can't wait for T7 in 6 days!

All stage BGMs with the strings in this game were epic!!! The ending credit theme was so great, I almost cried the first time i heard it...MANLY TEARS THO!! All that magic put on that shiny purple disc!!!
The first game I got for my PS2 back in 02... It was amazing. I was someone who was coming from the PS1 era, and when that opening cinematic played... It was honestly a little bit life-changing. I still own my copy, I think it's the only PS2 game I own with the purple disc! Haha, have to play it again, can't believe it's been almost 15 years since I first played Tekken Tag!

this was my first Tekken game. I was visiting my brother and his friends house who were all in college for a weekend and this along with Enter the Matrix was all I played.
They literally picked my team and colors on the first one. That was really cool.
I got this game when it was released with the ps2 in Sweden..pretty sure a year later..October 26h. I was obsessed with this game, tekkenzaibatsu, combo vids, doing combos.. this game was the reason I got a ps2(also my first ps2 didn't even have a working disc-tray, went through a bunch of broken consoles out of the box back in the day..).
Unfortunately it was in 50hz which I didn't knew much about at the time...
Maaan I'm so hyped about Tekken 7. Last for me was Tekken tag 2 but never got much good at it...for some reason netplay didn't work good.

This game on PS2 was what introduced me to the Tekken series. I loved the goofball characters and cool martial arts moves. It had a great soundtrack too. I can't remember how I came to buy it (pretty sure it was bought at a yard sale with a bundle of other games) but I have loved the series ever since, even if I am not the most expert player. Alex the boxing raptor FTW!

First Tekken game I ever played. I still remember seeing it at skating rink when I was little. Blew my mind. Though, I honestly prefer the arcade version over the PS2 version (even though Tekken Bowl was amazing).
I loved that you could do Tag Battle co op in this, my brother and I would play this for hours, when we wanted to take a break from the fighting, Tekken Bowl was so much fun, great soundtrack, great stages, all the classic characters, I honestly still prefer this over Tekken Tag 2.
