I have a feeling kazuya’s is going to have be pretty lengthy, guy has so much lore to cover with his family, even for just his origin and the first game 😅 but it’s gonna be fun to cover, there’s are some gaps to fill, like his relationship with lee growing up for example and his youth, we’ll see how it turns out.

TEKKEN's Lore is deeper than many people think...Even downright to the point of TEKKEN 1 is said to take place 50 years after WW2 which with a bit of math tells you what year(s) T3-8 take place in.

Yoshimitsu, a legend in the Tekken Universe, is an awesome and truly a marvel. I can play him in any Tekken game and mop the floor with my opponents. Love to see the background story of Tekken's Kazuya Mishima as well as the next episode of Metal Gear

It's a shame that Namco never did anything quite like this. These videos are excellent! I've just binged them and subscribed. I'm looking forward to a Kunimitsu video if you choose to make one. There are a lot of questions around her origin, including an idea that she is (or was) possessed by a kitsune. If you ever make a video that references her T2 ending, it's commonly believed that she is testing out Yoshimitsu (the sword) on a large stone that she randomly finds in a forest, but that stone is actually meant to be an unmarked gravestone for a grave that is hidden right there in the forest. The idea is that the sword is said to possess the ability to cleave a person's soul in two, and so by using the sword to cut through the gravestone, she is destroying the deceased person's soul. I have no idea who that person was or why Kunimitsu would want to do that to them after they're already dead, but somebody went to a bit of trouble to hide the grave, presumably to prevent this exact outcome. It would be really cool to see this play out in some way in one of your videos.

Maybe his SC iteration isn't canon to Tekken, but otherwise it would make sense. So they guy before him, even with a different prefix'd name, used to be "The Yoshimitsu." Perhaps this tradition had been going on far before SC. And so the lineage of Yoshumitsu (the sword) wielders descended to the present (Tekken) day.
Yeah thats how i see it too, there were many yoshis, i tried to make it so the story could work whether SC is canon or not, was a tough one deciding which way to take the story.
This Tekken story of Yoshimitsu and Kunimitsu Story is amazing even it's interesting that Yoshimitsu and his ninja clan infiltrating places and after 2 fights with Ganryu and Kazuya Mishima i give This story a 2 👍🏾👍🏾 I hope I get to hear more stories 😁 of Tekken
This one has got to be my favourite so far and for the most part makes sense lore wise, I can even say you fleshed Yoshi and Kuni even more than what Bamco, gave them such a dynamic narrative, I ever do wish Bamco for once did a Tekken anthology anime series with different perspectives from each character, something I thought of myself for the last 20 years 😅.
In the future uploads, I hope you do Yoshimitsu's rival Bryan Fury lore, about his life before he became Megalomaniac Cyborg who has lust for destruction.

Yeah, Kazuya Mishima has gathered his devilish strength to win the 1st King of Iron Fist Tournament in order to get revenge on his father Heihachi Mishima for killing Kazuya's mother Kazumi Mishima.

Really enjoyed the video and nice work fiction Tho as a Yoshimitsu main/cosplayer i noticed few lore things missing. Just wanted to point few things. IT"S not a whine i assure You - No mention of SoulCalibur universe where characters named Yoshimitsu also exists and explains few things, such as Why Yoshimitsu blade is cursed since it's tainted with energy from Soul Edge - We learn in Soulcalibur that 'Yoshimitsu" is a title given to leader/wielder of cursed blade but also we have no information about what other name Tekken' Yoshimitsu had before taking the leader mantle. - Speaking of it, no mention of previous leader who most likely was also named Yoshimitsu, someone was probably using the cursed sword, I don't think they just left it storaged.
Thank you 🙂I’m not sure the two series are set in the same universe, like for example Akuma in Tekken 7, does that mean SF and Tekken are set in the same universe? I did mention how the clan has been around for generations while not explicitly stating the soul calibur lore but at the same time trying to acknowledge it, a balance, like saying are they connected or aren’t they. Had to make the story make sense in both scenarios. Tough one😩 The sword being in limbo is more of a temporary period to find a suitable owner strong enough to wield. Old owner retires it, clan finds new owner which takes time, sometimes many years as they have to get it right after all it being in the wrong hands is bad. I called him yoshi from that start as the story is told in past tense, i maybe could have been more clear about him being given the title once he gets the sword. But yeah before he got the sword his ‘real’ name was something else, I’ll apologise for not specifically adding that detail in I can see how it could cause confusion! Same for kunimitsu, members are given names or titles after they join the clan which I think is a cool detail to add. I also didn’t want to take too many liberties and actually make up a name for the guy as people may not have liked what name I picked, yoshimitsu is a naturally mysterious character, I tried to keep that same aura in the story. Expanding on the clan and adding a couple side characters revealing the clan has a naming system is enough.

Robert Belgrade being the narrator for this takes me back to Tekken 5/DR, still my favorite among the Tekken games. After all these years, his voice hardly changed. He still sounds like SotN Alucard.
Never noticed until now, Kid Forest Law playing with the sticks indicated he was imitating Yoshimitsu, since Yoshi in his non-canon ending won the tournament.
Unfortunately yeah, those new gen guys will be a while, but personally I’m excited to get into characters like Jin, hwoarang and xiaoyu. Will get there eventually! 😅👊
That would be cool, nothing really known about the Manji Clan outside of Yoshi and Kuni, I tried to expand on the clan a bit here. I didn't want to definitively land on what the Soul Calibur lore established on his character as the Tekken lore differs a bit. So I made a mix between the two.
At least now I understand the rivalry between Yoshimitsu and Kunimitsu. I always thought she wanted proof, that she would be the better leader of the Manji Clan. But sadly betrayal is betrayal. It´s hard to forgive, even by close ones. Also thanks to Bosconovitch I can say, the Majin Clan is a clan of modern Cyberpunk-Ninjas.

The stories are based on the very brief character bios in the manuals and character prologues/intros/outros etc. I just expand on them and flesh them out. 👍

Tho as a Yoshimitsu main/cosplayer i noticed few lore things missing. Just wanted to point few things. IT"S not a whine i assure You
- No mention of SoulCalibur universe where characters named Yoshimitsu also exists and explains few things, such as Why Yoshimitsu blade is cursed since it's tainted with energy from Soul Edge
- We learn in Soulcalibur that 'Yoshimitsu" is a title given to leader/wielder of cursed blade but also we have no information about what other name Tekken' Yoshimitsu had before taking the leader mantle.
- Speaking of it, no mention of previous leader who most likely was also named Yoshimitsu, someone was probably using the cursed sword, I don't think they just left it storaged.

I did mention how the clan has been around for generations while not explicitly stating the soul calibur lore but at the same time trying to acknowledge it, a balance, like saying are they connected or aren’t they. Had to make the story make sense in both scenarios. Tough one😩
The sword being in limbo is more of a temporary period to find a suitable owner strong enough to wield. Old owner retires it, clan finds new owner which takes time, sometimes many years as they have to get it right after all it being in the wrong hands is bad.
I called him yoshi from that start as the story is told in past tense, i maybe could have been more clear about him being given the title once he gets the sword. But yeah before he got the sword his ‘real’ name was something else, I’ll apologise for not specifically adding that detail in I can see how it could cause confusion! Same for kunimitsu, members are given names or titles after they join the clan which I think is a cool detail to add.
I also didn’t want to take too many liberties and actually make up a name for the guy as people may not have liked what name I picked, yoshimitsu is a naturally mysterious character, I tried to keep that same aura in the story. Expanding on the clan and adding a couple side characters revealing the clan has a naming system is enough.

Robert Belgrade being the narrator for this takes me back to Tekken 5/DR, still my favorite among the Tekken games. After all these years, his voice hardly changed. He still sounds like SotN Alucard.
Never noticed until now, Kid Forest Law playing with the sticks indicated he was imitating Yoshimitsu, since Yoshi in his non-canon ending won the tournament.

I wish Yoshimitsu had his own spin-off game. Mixing between the Yoshimitsu of Tekken & Soulcalibur.
That would be cool, nothing really known about the Manji Clan outside of Yoshi and Kuni, I tried to expand on the clan a bit here. I didn't want to definitively land on what the Soul Calibur lore established on his character as the Tekken lore differs a bit. So I made a mix between the two.
@@TheLoresmith it’s perfect to blend both the SC & TK Yoshimitsus mix, by the SC Yoshimitsu as the feudal one to the next Yoshimitsu in modern times.
At least now I understand the rivalry between Yoshimitsu and Kunimitsu. I always thought she wanted proof, that she would be the better leader of the Manji Clan. But sadly betrayal is betrayal. It´s hard to forgive, even by close ones. Also thanks to Bosconovitch I can say, the Majin Clan is a clan of modern Cyberpunk-Ninjas.

The stories are based on the very brief character bios in the manuals and character prologues/intros/outros etc. I just expand on them and flesh them out. 👍

I think there is some connection between Bosconovich and Bryan as well. Also Alisa is like a daughter to him, kind of like Pinocchio/Astro Boy. Now that I think about it he is pretty integral to the core story.
