Many thanks,this has helped immensely ,I too will be tackling the job on my disco 5.I wonder if one can spray the mechanism with something to future proof it. It seems to be a common problem.
Very detailed overview thanks. It looks almost identical to my 2018 Discovery 5 L462 window mechanism which I'll be renewing tomorrow. BTW The head cam bits made me feel a bit queasy.

Getting ready to do this on my 2020 Disco, right rear window. Not as big an opening.
