    Thank you so much.!! I'm one of those people that took a bunch of money, invested in the cricuit ..heatpress and so many supplies it was crazy. Then I had to have shelving for my craft room etc and guess what? I was so intimidated I never used any of it.
    So I've now decided maybe I'd watch a few sublimation videos and start there. I chose the perfect one to start with. You were thorough and I took lots of notes. I love that you would be including many links to further help us in our process. It's also wonderful that you test items and give us your honest opinion about them. I definitely subscribed. Thanks again for really taking your time to cover every detail with all of us. WELL DONE!! 😊❤

    I’ve been wanting to do sublimation for a few years now, but I ran into a few issues. I watched so many videos and most of the creators were gatekeeping, but your video helped. This whole time I was using the wrong material because the video I’ve watched wasn’t specific enough about the material. So I went to hobby lobby to purchase a shirt and I finally got the results I was looking for. Your video made my day.🤗🤗🤗🤗

    Hi Angie, so glad I found your video, because I want to start doing sublimation. I just bought an Epson ET-2800 printer and I got the sublimation ink. I also just ordered a tumbler press on Amazon and it's coming on Friday. I have all the Cricut presses and I have done coffee mugs with the mug press. One person asked me to do pictures on mugs, but I couldn't because I didn't have a sublimation printer. I saw videos with someone using a regular inkjet printer and using a coating onto a mug to get the photo onto the mug, but it looked so complicated and messy. Now that I have a printer to do the sublimation prints, I was looking around to see how to do them and I found this video and I subscribed to your channel. Along with the tumbler press, I ordered a 10 pack of 20oz tumblers and the sublimation paper and they came earlier today. I also have the heat resistant gloves, the heat tape and butcher paper. One video suggested that I can also use parchment paper in a pinch and I have been using that when I press T-shirts and tote bags with regular Iron-on or HTV. Thanks for the other things you mentioned. I will look into getting those.

      Kathryn be sure to toss the ink that comes with printer. Even though you order sublimation printer, it comes with regular ink so toss it. I like the hiipoo ink she recommended too. I tried Jacks but it said DYE and I thought it was just a different name for sublimation.. no, and it didn't work.. just fyi bc I was so frustrated.

    It is now 2024, thanks for this video. I have a lot of ideas now. I realize that the pricing would be different from when you did the video to now. Do you have any idea on how much it would be to start printing sublimation license plates including all that you would need to do this project? Others on here may also answer. Thank you. Don't know if you have one, just found this video today but, what might help is to know is about what you do about trademarks and other items that could have a copywrite. I might be able to help a little on this because I have been looking into it after I saw your video and started coming up with ideas. Thanks for helping with my creativity.

    I might dip my toe in the water by using a sublimation print on demand service. I dont really want to buy another printer. I have an inkjet and a laser (for foiling). I really dont need a third printer dedicated to sublimation unless I think I might actually sell things.
    So I am thinking I can make my original designs, have them printed - I have found a couple places. And see how that goes.
    But also Cricut's infusible ink markers and sheets might be enough for some fun projects for me without getting into actual sublimation.
    In any event, good comprehensive video! People definitely need to be aware of everything involved before taking the plunge. You did a great job covering it.

We've tried changing various settings but are closest to acceptable with 400 degrees F, 35 secs, medium pressure. Have you ever gotten yellowing around your images? Thanks!

    I have an HP photo inkjet that I use the transfer paper with. It's not technically sublimation, I suppose, but it is cheaper that buying the Epson or the Sawgrass. Maybe if I can get sales and build up a bit, I can invest in one of those. But I broke the budget when I got the 5 in 1 heat press!

      To clean it, use a spare piece of fabric and press repeated times. The ink will reactivate and go onto your fabric.

    Do you have a video on general temperatures and times for different blanks? I know there’s a lot out there but like you mention there’s shirts, hats, and other clothing but there’s also mugs and ceramics, plastics and metal plates and signs and I am clueless.

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      For each blank, you should find instructions where you purchase it. I would go by that first. If you can't find it, sublimation paper has general guidelines on the packaging.

      A lot of times they are on the Amazon listing. Try that first as that is the most reliable source of information. Otherwise, look on your package of sublimation paper.

    Thank you so much for this video, very informative as all of your videos are. I just have a question regarding sublimating a plate. Can it be done in a convection oven or would one need a heat press for that? Would love to see you do an example if possible. Thanks!!

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have used a heat press with an adapter made for plates. I need to look into if you can use shrink wrap as that would probably be less expensive.

    • @AngieHolden

    I just purchased a Cricut Maker. Just listening to your videos before getting started. What's the difference in the finished product and quality from using the Cricut infusing or a printer sublimation?

    • @AngieHolden

      Infusible Ink is a form of sublimation. So, the quality is equal.

    I have everything need but the thermometer. Which one do you suggest as I'm on Amazon and don't see anything but infrared. I have a standard heat press.
    Also when making a mask do I need a mockup of the mask or can I just print on the sublimation the size with bleed and get a nice mask?

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually haven't purchased a thermometer yet. I haven't had any issues with my heat press and haven't gotten around to it. I think for a mask, I would just print larger so the whole thing is covered. Be sure to use lots of paper to catch the extra ink though.

    What is your opinion on the Sublimation Printer Bundles. (Pre-Set-up). Model 2850.
    In one of your videos you mentioned that you should not change the type of Sublimation ink used in the printer. Does it mean I would have to continue using the kind of ink that comes with the bundle?
