I love seeing young people appreciate the music I grow up with. This was 40 years ago. When I was your age it would be like me being into the music from the 1930's

I don’t know about the 1930’s but this music ROCKS. 🤘

Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and Judas Priest have had major, MAJOR influence on modern metal.
All the modern heavy metal groups revers Rob Halford like a god, a metal god, and why not, that he is.

Check out their songs "Victim of Changes", or "Painkiller", or "Electic Eye", or "You've got anothe thing Coming", or " Grinder", or "Hell bent for Leather". I could go on and on and on with different songs songs from them, cause their catalog is so deep.

This album is one of my favorite metal albums. It’s heavy and haunting, and the guitar tone is out of this world. You can tell this had a big impact on the guitarists on Mercyful Fate.

Glen Tipton’s 1st solo is my favorite of his and then KK Downing coming in scorching at the end, still my favorite Priest song. The Sentinel is my #2 Priest song.

First solo means the person suffering from the detachment from those of the outside and the second it’s the relief of all that pain by finally dying

Hey Cadence i'm really liking the young ones enjoying metal music at it's finest, i watched your Megadeth reactions and i'm so happy you're doing JP. This has been my favorite band since 1979, JP has some of the most blistering guitar solos you'll ever hear, and Rob Halford's voice is second to none. Please go down this rabbit hole, i think they'll soon become your favorite as well. Great reaction, thank you.

This album was my introduction to Judas Priest (probably in 1979 or 80) and I have been a fan ever since.
You should check out their song "The Sinner" (Live Vengeance 82 version)

CADENCE, make sure you listen to the Judas Priest album “Unleashed In The East”. It was recorded in front a live audience in Tokyo in 1979, it’s often referred to as their best album. They were always first and foremost a live band. There are also lots of videos on TH-cam of them in concert.

Songs like this is why metal grew! Priest are one of the bands that metal bands that came after them looked up to. They have a very diverse catalog of music. I mean they are still making music today.

I can see youre a Muso too... makes you appreciate JudasPriest waay more when you have some musical knowledge. Theres 2 lead guitarists in this band, GlenTipton & K.K.Downing. Many of their songs have 2 solos, 1 by each. Sometimes they intertwine their leads, in a Call&Response way, phrase for phrase. A good example of this is their song 'The Green Manalishi' (the Version off their 'Unleashed in the East' album) ...thats the version you need to hear. Another great song off this album is 'Better by you better than me', and also 'Starbreaker' off sin after sin album. ROCK ON, And thanks for bringing life back to the best bands of our era. If you love it, please share it with your friends. Help your gen carry the flame of great music into the new world, and beyond.

I've actually heard Painkiller before, I'm not sure where... probably in my grandpa Chief's garage, he plays all classic rock in there. That's why I haven't reacted to it. :(
