I'm having hard time until now I'm using the key to lock and unlock. Just 3 days in a row for my brand new smartcode exactly same model. I think I followed all the installation instructions.

5:10 press program button, then 1 then lock button, then enter user code and lock again

The most important things he failed to mention was how to change the door orientation to left to right it does not automatically detect it!!! I wasted an hour on this. You have to reprogram the lock to change the orientation to left or right! Program button + 0 + lock button (in that order). Hope this saves someone an hour that I lost!

Hi! I just purchased the powerbolt 1. Do I definitely need to replace the previous bolt and latch? Is it an alignment requirement? Or for additional security features? Thanks!

So if you have to extend the lock you twist it? Did you think that now your whole lock has to be installed upside down? Strongly advise anyone to not buy this lock.
