  • Aliens Another Glorious Day in The Corps is an awesome game with really great models. Let's face it there is not much cooler than Hicks, Hudson and the other bug hunting warriors from the movie Aliens. When it comes to painting the Marines though, painters have a bit of a challenge, painting Camouflage. Out of necessity camo is hard to describe and if painted with great precision, it clutters the model making it hard to build visual interest for the viewer. In this video, I provide a fast and easy way to create convincing camouflage for these models that still looks good on the games table, or in your dioramas. I demonstrate this using the figures from the Ultimate Badasses expansion, but the techniques apply to any model that has camo, ranging from WWII historicals to Warhammer 40,000. Something you might point out is the 4' rule. We get to see your models up close in macro photos, but chances are 99% of the time they are viewed at 4' of distance from face to the table top, so some of those shadows or highlights that look harsh up close, actually read a lot better at a further distance because of an exaggerated contrast. Love the Aliens movie, and though we haven't played this game yet, we LOVE Nemesis which is based on Aliens Franchise in all things but its name.
