- Black paint is the bane of miniature, diorama and model painters. In small amounts, or as an accent colour ,it is fine, but if the majority of a subject is black, then maintaining definition and scale in your art can be a next to impossible.
In this video, I provide an in depth tutorial on how to paint predominantly black models for your Dioramas, displays or wargames. The subject I have chosen is Wednesday Addams but the techniques I provide in this tutorial will work just as well if your are painting planes, cars, Space Marines or Monsters.
This episode covers a topic that is of huge importance. Please check it out, enjoy and remember to subscribe!

Ah Black. The art of layering white on black, and shading the whites back to black, and doing it again, until it's smooth, or until you go mad!
You don't have to like it...you just have to do it. (But you should like it.)
well yes a golshly great and nice thing you did like it will be tooning i to nest one great 24
Wow, so cool!
I love the shots
Thanks I really appreciate that!
Man those dots from the supports are bad, could have been great with some sanding/filling. It's a shame because the rest is very good.
Yes I cut a corner there. The paint process was a bit of a rush for the gift (which was for a five year old). If time permitted I would have filled the scars from the supports.
Fortunately the support dimples are almost all on the back of the coat, making it look like worn areas or moth holes in the fabric. Goths love Moths afterall. Okay I made that up, but I imagine it's still true.
