Flow out the tank is about
    5.55(54seconds)-5.75/min(52seconds).
The reason is that direct drive pressure washers don't create the same suction gear and belt drive do. Direct pumps run about 3600 RPM and belt and gear pumps run at 1450 or 1750 RPM so there's more time the piston is open to draw water, almost twice as much time. That's why direct drives need the pressure from the spigot or a 12v pump.
Like according to my general pump tsf2021(belt) manual the pump can be 9 ft above the water source and still suck water up.
And holding the hose up in the air with the tank valve open the hose will only fill up to the same level as where the tank level is.
Electric pressure washers are going to have a similar draw effects as the gear and belt.

Yeah if I had a gear drive or belt I would have it hard plumbed and leave it be. I need this tank for a job and am just experimenting. A 5.5 or 8 would solve this problem easily. Thanks for the info👍

I have done it with a IBC 275 gallon tote to a 4 gpm gas pressure washer. The water level in the tote has to be higher than the pressure washer.
I don’t make a habit of doing this but the customer didn’t have a water source. I cleaned his 70 ft driveway with a 20 inch surface cleaner. Turned out great. Had about 10 gallons left . I always up charge if I bring water.
I have also used my electric 7 GPM softwash pump to feed my pressure washer to. It works great that way. Have done that many times when a customer has no water source.

Thanks i appreciate that. I don’t want to do it too often either, but will when I need too. If I wasn’t using my softwash pump I would hook it up to it,but I will be using it too on this job. Thanks for letting me know how much water you had left.I was going to ask about how much it took.

@@jonboysprowash7845 I use quick disconnects on all my hose ends except the female end buffer hose which goes to the customers house water supply..
This way I can switch to my pressure washer feed hose
In a few seconds. I got a designated 3/4 inch feed hose on my 4 GPM. pressure washer it about 10 feet long. Hook it up to my 12 volt pump and I and ready to go. The quick disconnects save a lot of time. I use them on both ends of my 200 ft soft was hose. Plus have them on my homemade wand. Been using them about 2 years.

Try priming the pump with the gun held low to the ground so it’s below the pump, and not held up in the air, I’m thinking it can’t flow uphill. I’m just guessing though

Does someone know of a small inline pump to provide the required flow to the pressure machine? I would love to do gravity feed but there are complications on every video I see. What would be the smallest pump I would need to just give the water the same push as a spicket on the side of a house?

    • @jonboysprowash7845

Most houses where I am are at a 4-6 gpm from the faucet. Anything that size should be sufficient. I will be trying this out myself if my new pump won’t pull from a tank.
