People are saying this commercial scared them as a kid, where as for me it was always comforting. This commercial hits close to home and back then it made me feel like I was home. I miss the 2000's😔
Wait, people were scared of this commercial? I just love how it's playing rent free in my brain
I also like BFDI (battle for dream island) because it is the best object show ever made!
@@ninelgazarova2873what does bfdi have to do with this?
I don't get the whole "this thing scared me as a kid trend" like they must have been afraid of their own shadows or something. There's nothing remotely scary about this ad
This guy is crazy strong he just dropped like a 5 ton carpet it shook the house.
but the wooden floor didn't shake it
I’m pretty sure Empire Today man is the heavy one, he creates a shockwave powerful enough to shake an entire house on landing
@Elkanah Dixson 7. How do you know they're both named Elmer? I know it's a year old comment but I need to know this Empire Carpet lore.
Lmaoo
And then he slid a wooden floor with a couch and cat on it like it was nothing

As a marketing major, I really appreciate this ad. A pleasant jingle, nice animation, and only eight seconds long.
The little bass thump with "TODAY" is one of those small touches that made this jingle so memorable.
i never realized the small guy in the top left corner was the one saying 'today' until just now.
I only ever focused on the dude decking the room out.

today i came across this commercial again for the first time in years. its been forever since i stopped using cable to watch cartoons. when i heard the jingle i had a sudden love for it. i remember coming back from school, finishing my homework, firing up the television, and checking in on nick to see what cartoons were airing, and almost every ad break would have this commercial. the funny part is that its said to have stopped airing back in 2011 but i remember seeing this commercial years after 2011. why am i gushing over a carpet ad.
