    I completed her 30 day handstand challenge about a month ago. I wasn’t able to kick up to the wall before this challenge but now I can although my posture still looks like an arch. I will do this drill as a review again hoping to get rid of the arch.

    Thank you so much ❤ finally I did my first assisted handstand with the head on the ground. I've been training to hold a handstand for a year and a half now and I've not been able to unlock it. I had convinced myself that it's because my two arms are not equal since I broke one of my bones and the arm is bent, but I just realized I can do it regardless of a bent arm. Thank you so much Summer.

    Is there an advanced handstand workout?
    And what's the difference between this type of training and the type of training that focuses on reps and sets....
    For example:
    3 sets:
    Handstand push ups against the wall ×10
    Elevated pike push ups ×15
    Elevated pike hold 30 sec
    Wall walks ×5
    Pseudo push ups ×12
    Shoulder to shoulder ×5

    • @Summerfunfitness
      @Summerfunfitness  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This is a follow along routine with sets and reps inside of it.
      If you want an advanced routine that isn't a follow along, check out any of these:

    16:39 Week 2 but I'm still on to "get yourself there". I'm not that unfit and have a stable core, so I guess I'm just scared to attempt to kick harder

    • @Summerfunfitness
      @Summerfunfitness  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's hard to progress in handstands in only 2 weeks of training. It usually takes tremendously longer than that, so don't worry too much. Just keep practicing and doing your best.

    • @byza101
      @byza101 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Don’t worry about getting a thicker wrist, worry about getting bigger forearms if you’re worried about your wrist… You want a flexible, strong wrist

  • @kadieley
    @kadieley หลายเดือนก่อน

    I’m still scared to even just kick up to the wall…

    • @Summerfunfitness
      @Summerfunfitness  หลายเดือนก่อน

      You don't have to kick up to the wall the first day you begin your handstand practice. You can work on the other drills for now. Overtime you'll build more confidence, strength and awareness eventually making kicking up to the wall less scary.
      Here's an addition wall handstand tip for when you're ready to try: th-cam.com/users/shorts2XMj3cVh-Hw

    • @BocusVeLucy
      @BocusVeLucy ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Age is just a number, also you are not old so it should be perfectly okay. Just give yourself a time if you can't follow along or not able to do moves at full range of motion. Adaptation takes time.

    • @Bazilisk_AU
      @Bazilisk_AU ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Ofcourse ! Although you might find the biggest limiting factor isn't the strength to press overhead nor the balance through your arms and shoulders nor the coordination... the first thing that will take a lot of time to acclimate is the circulation and pressure from the blood 'pooling' if you've never done any inversion practice before.
      If you can take 4~6 weeks to build up to inversion tolerance then you can make handstands (and by extension Flips and stuff) easy.
