Neace is like that voice in my head that knows what to do, but my body doesn't get that, so it goes into fight or flight mode. This video perfectly summarizes that same scenario. A ton of flying and no fighting.
I just hear him in my head when I play league now
It’s confidence. I believe in you to find yours. You know what to do my guy! And you’re the boss you believe you are!
I’m 100% killer instinct sometimes I’m too blood thirsty or too passive
@@hoodedy this is such a good thing for you it’s a high roll cause just like in basketball you can’t teach killer instinct.
For me its the other way around, it screams to me to go fight and not flight
He had so much more patience this game than he usually does, a lot of calm reactions early on. Usually he would be so worked up so fast lol
I like when he gets worked up tbh 🤣
@@Acid-v4q same lmao so entertaining
This is patience? LOL
how come he didn't listen
@@Acid-v4q whereas it's the opposite for me. I like when he's chill.
“Go kill him!”
Spins away and and just watches Kayn die 🤣

Deadass his face in confusion and frustration is priceless...i can learn from him coaching you guys so informational
well it happens.. he was too harsh
@@theresnothinghere59 so you also just sometimes shit your pants when youre about to kill someone and start running away for no reason?
My jaw dropped when that kayn ganked and he ran away. I would go afk if my laner did that after spam pinging me
Kayn should've reported him for trolling
Icr, worst part of jungling. That's why most of the time I check if I myself have KP before going. Such easy kills if people dont chicken away. Like "f this, it's jg job to kill my laner"
And going afk helps you in what way?
@@gameconcept1196 korean meta my friend. Afk ff15 rofl
lmao forreal
This is not my proudest game for sure. However, I underestimated my abilty to quick react to what he was telling me. I learned and will do better because of it. Maybe ill try again in the future and have a better understanding of what is needed. Thanks for the advice and the patience with me on this rough coaching.
Hey, just watched the whole video, your biggest mistake was when you straight up left your jungler in the early gank, that was one mistake that couldve had huge impact in you snowballing the game, even if you had an assist you wouldve had more xp and gold and bully darius in his lane. I dont know why you were scared at that point but then it led to some smaller mistakes which then lead to the enemy snowballing. However, I think you are on the right path my dude, dont get discouraged. The biggest lesson from this is to recognise snowballing opportunities which then have positive outcome for your team, such as that. Wish you good luck.
nice attitude there my man, keep grinding
yea what mj said is tru for sure
try diff game
Be a man bro you’ll never learn by playing to not die. It’s better to die and learn and feed if you have to to learn limits in the lower ranks so you know what your champ can and can’t do. If you don’t your just gonna get smashed on repeat by players who have higher mechanics and know their limits.
I used to be afraid to fight and taking risk but man
Once you stop caring about dying and concentrate on your gameplay you find out that taking risk beats running away all the time, not only you give pressure away but also put yourself in a state of mind that you will never win against what you are fighting.
As soon as I discovered this I realize that I win most fights if I just commit instead of being scared.
Also the thing is, if you never try, you never learn anything, but if you go in and die miserably, now you do know not to do that in this situation ;D
@@MisterMunkki I rather fail and learn something from it than sitting back and doing nothing.
You're right, I'm gonna feed midlaner 20 kills to limit test
@@lightsab4675 You will feed at the start but eventually you get better, you only feed cus you bad.
I see this pattern with a lot of these students/players. @Neace I think it would benefit them to hear out loud that these sessions are NOT about winning, but about learning. Usually I see Neace voice it after the face as "I don't care" as in I don't care if you die, I want you to see the play. But its usually to late, the moment has past them and the lesson is gone. Hearing about it after is about as valuable as us watching the videos. I think as soon as you see a pattern of not listening you should let them know these games are not being played to win NOW but to win going forward.
@29:00 "If I'm telling u to go into a situation like this, I know we're probably dead" was the most honorable and heartfelt sht i've heard Neace said.
honestly if I were the jungler after that first play I'd have made a mental note not to go gank top again
Laners don't realize it because they're ego maniacs, but junglers ALL keep a note of which lanes are worth ganking and which are a waste of time
JG main here. Seconding your thoughts. When he spun away my jaw dropped. And I thought to myself I will never go top again.
To be fair I wouldn't gank tryndamere but only cuz he should be able to solo and be split pushing. I'd gank if I saw enemy jngler setting up camp but otherwise
@@stalledturtle641 i would never gank a trynda vs darius lain ajy ways in low elo. Way to risky because of sich playes. The chance that you ruin his lain is 10 times higher than a successfull gank
Junglers are dumb. Top is winning they don't need my help. Top is losing its not worth helping them. Camp bot lane regardless of game state
@@matth4069 Junglers actually play in the role where you need to be the smartest person on the team because unlike everyone else you're not face slamming into an enemy laner all day, you have to make decisions with an impact on the game
Top is winning? I don't need to waste my time to keep them ahead while everything is burning all around us
Top is losing? Have I been there before? Was it a waste of time because they had no idea how to follow up? What's the point going to a lane you're not gonna get a kill in?
I'd say the same thing about bot or mid lane. You go to a lane where you have a chance of getting fed YOURSELF as the jungler, and you use that lead to impact other lanes once you're ahead
Junglers aren't baby sitters, they're one of the roles with the most agency, if we babysit a lane then we have no impact on the other 2 and put our team at a disadvantage
Wouldn't expect a top main to get that though, most top laners are just ooga booga face slam the enemy
that fight at 4 min was sooo good, then so bad all the sudden, starts long sword pots then hesitates. love it
4:06 I loved this moment. You either cry or laugh about that one. I died laughing on this one xD
i almost smashed my own keyboard when he spun away from the first gank lol
I actually know why this guy is doing what hes doing and this is a habit i often see in his elo specifically (Silver, Specifically silver 1/2 lobbies), hes playing to not die. He's not going in or following calls cause hes afraid he will die. Now i dont know if this is a habit from the design that he knows this video is going to be public or if he does this regularly whenever hes playing ranked. Season 12, that shit dont fly no more. You have to be willing to risk your kd for the game, if you arent then you might as well just leave the game.
I had a game around silver where I went in as a huge Cho, followed by amumu ulting, and we lost the fight hard. I was confused so I watched back that fight. Our Vayne was hiding way behind in the bush, ulted and autoed ONCE during the whole fight then ran away, while Leona was hiding BEHIND THE VAYNE, never using any of her abilities. Gotta love playing tanks :D
He needs to just play the game and stops worrying about kda doing nothing still ends in a loss as to taking a chance and turning things around could get you the win.
you've understood quite well and explained too
I had an argument with a "friend" over this. I lost a 1v1 but the enemy had no sums and was pushing. All he needed to do (he was jungling) was run in, stun and blow whatever cooldown to kill him. Instead of making an attempt he just makes no effort to rush him and just leaves. It's one of those mindsets that prevents climbing as the few who will engage no matter how low their level or lack items can still get something out of it.
Imagine playing as Trynd and not be willing to die.
I may have a terrible kda when I play Trynd, but I guarantee Ive got more wins because I 1v2 or 3'd, and usually took a tower or inhib with me.
If you arent going to do that, shouldn't be playing ANY splitter.
This sesh confirms to me that going hard and me dying to get my adc fed is worth.
Literally this. If I have to die to get my ADC a kill or throw down my life to make sure my ADC survives then I'll do it. But then again i'm not silver or w/e this guy is.
fuck adcs, im taking the kill as maokai
@pjp7316 yeah and then their adc wipes ur team and u lose 😂 but atleast you can type adc diff in the chat 🤣
NEACE, something you could try with clients like this who won't follow your directions is to ask them questions. I noticed coaches in your bootcamp doing this to some success. Either the clients are A) not thinking about what they're doing or B) thinking the opposite of what you're thinking and don't TRUST you. Or some combination. Asking them the question, "what's your plan right now?" (just 'what are you thinking' can be a little too antagonistic and make them automatically defensive rather than actually getting them to ask themselves the question) can snap them out of whatever automatic response they're on, or will allow you to go into reasoning as to why they don't trust you. Obviously, they paid for the coaching, they know you know your shit, but why can't they trust what you're saying? You could also ask them what you think are the important questions and then lead them to the right answer.
Mad respect for your patience. I think live coaching is probably an art form no one has really come close to your level of expertise on, for league at least.
I know Neace just laughed the 1st gank off but that was such a misplay mainly because not only did he miss the kill which would have snowballed the entire match, but he lost the jungler's trust.
As as jungler, if that happened at one of my games i would think twice about ganking top again, because i would had to solokill the darius.
Its just better to gank bot from there on
QA
Lmao the student was 20x more responsive and engaged than 90% of the others shown on this channel. Educational if nothing else.
I think this Neance guy is bipolar, he gets ultra mad at this guy for not following his words in real time but in other videos there's people lacking any fundamentals and he's completely calm like he doesn't even give a fuck
"Press the + sign on your keyboard once" Guy proceeds to click the plus sign on screen…. Can't even follow directions outside of the game.
tbf to this guy it took me my first couple years of playing league to break out of being highly risk averse. It was so bad I would let so many free things go because I was afraid to die and snowball somebody. That stuck with me for longer than I'm proud to admit but as I learned the hard way in life and in game being passive ends badly for you more times than not. Now I don't care about my KDA if I end up dying making a play but if it put my team in an advantageous position I'm 100% okay with that, sometimes I know beyond a shadow of a doubt I wont make it out but I know it's the right call. KDA doesn't mean anything if you are losing games.
Everyone is saying he threw his money away. granted since he wouldn't listen he didn't learn as much as he could have but being chided for not listening and being scared by a high level player is worth a lot in and of itself. Hopefully my man will improve and break out of that fear of dying mindset. I think this game is a good example of why he needs to break it.
Even though this client didn’t take awake much, I think this is still helpful for me and a lot of others when it comes to remembering that sometimes you have to set up a play by peeling back the layers; ie. forcing summoners, getting boneplating off, setting up a big wave for a potential dive, etc.
Even though this concept is something I’ve begun to work on, sometimes I fall back into bad habit and lazy gameplay so this is a great reminder.
Maybe I watch too many Neace videos but I have the Neace voice in the back of head when I play at all times now. I never stay still because if I do I can hear Neace saying, "Do wolves. Go to chickens, don't just stand here dude." Or the camera control is probably the thing he helped me out with most. Whenever my teammates are fighting I can hear "Camera! I dont wanna see Narnia!" Its funny but honestly it worked. I genuinely think alot of Neace's clients havent watched a ton of his videos before purchasing the coaching.
the quick fight or flight response at 4:10 gave me ptsd from when i was in silver. Thank god im bronze now
bro such an old comment so I'm sure you've forgotten all about it, but it cracked me up
We gotta understand that Neace is a streamer and he's more than fine if thousands watch him live, but an average dude gets nervous under that kind of pressure. Your mind gets clouded and you're trying so hard to keep control, but the nagging feeling that spotlight is on you can be a crushing feeling for a first timer.
Then choose a Private coaching lesson, He chose this all he needs to do is LISTEN.
I hope this guy learns well from this because the "I don't know" from 30:10 leans me to believe that he is oblivious of everything that he was doing.
I think the session was great because you really get to see the mistake of lost opportunity. This is what's hardest to recognize and probably the reason why a lot of people feel like they don't have agency.
When that gang went down and Neace said oh my god and grabbed his head I literally was doing the same exact thing real time. Good learning moment though!
I feel this guy. He’s trying so hard not to die and feed darius and i can tell he’s experienced that an infinite amount of times probably
As a Kayn player, I would never gank you again
Jng diff
As a jungle player. If one action of anyone else affects your game at all you should delete the game... your role is to jungle, not to stand with your hands open asking mummy to feed you
Also, if you play kayn the same way this guy does, it's probably good idea you never gank any lane 😂 spamming abilities on a high dps pen champion is not gaming 😂
it's ironic because if he was more confident and didn't always walk away he wouldn't have been hit by the worst part of Darius Q so often.

The way this guy is playing, he should switch to mid and play a long range APC.
His I never want to die style isnt for Trynd, but would be fine on like, Xerath/Lux/Ziggs.
High risk high reward champs like Trynd, or even get up in there and push their stuff in bruisers that are normally played in top just aren't going to be for this guy anytime soon.
Imagine if this guy played vs a decent Illaoi how bad it would've gone.
@@ROB-cj4kq what you're not understanding is that's true in every lane. That's why those are "the basics."
What I'm talking about is playstyle.
There is a massive difference between someone who is going to be manhandling you and making opportunities vs someone who is going to be chill and sit back and wait for opportunities to present themselves and capitalize.
totally agree. I started playing the game as tryndamere and I learned to be balls to the wall dive people 100-0 every time ult is up. Thats my personality and it works for me. Learning velkoz mid recently has been hard for me cause of my habits. This guys is the complete opposite of me.

One second though at the end NEACE says “if we dodge his W we go in and fight”… the student clearly is waiting for the W, like thinking bait it then go in. I understand on the spur of the moment neace changes his mind and says go in - and the student should have but he is obviously still thinking “wait to dodge the W” and isn’t so instant on his comprehension. I think the end dressing down didn’t acknowledge that but I also understand it was cherry on top moment - a whole game of not following simple instructions
I know this is old but I think the point is the guy paid to be coached and felt some nerves/pressure. You should never belittle/make a student feel embarrassed in any form of teaching in life. Could tell he was trying and had the right attitude, probably quit playing after this session which is a shame, he just wanted to learn.
Lessons to be had in this video in many ways, especially for Neace if he ever comes back to coaching.
Man I can't help but feel a little bad for the student. I've had coaching before and I couldn't tell you why but you play so different when someone is watching and judging every single click that you're doing. You doubt yourself, you choke and you're trying to listen to what the coach wants you to do while still playing the game.
I have never seen anyone ignore so much easy to follow advice.
Why pay hundreds of dollars to have Neace in your ear and then ignore him?

You have to have some fear of dying in the game because giving up free gold and time without you being there better be worth it for something, a concept I don’t think many laners get.

I've noticed a huge passive mentality across the whole game. Those that aren't scared to be in a fight tend to win. Can't half measure a lane phase and think you are gate keeping. It's stop gap batman strategy. Works fantasy but not real life scenarios.
A lot of students, myself included, tend to think of League as a twitch-play game and not a chess or strategy game. There are times where I am tired and should just log off, but I sit in lane thinking only of where to trade autos, where to position or move, etc, without a thought given to summs, bone plating, etc. When I'm feeling sharp and alert, I think of all the stuff I know, but everyone has a tired-state, a nervous state, a titled state, etc. For some, it's rage, for some it's apathy, for some it's autopilot.
"You suck. That'll be $350, please."
old neace would of just screamed his lungs of on this one. WHY AM I HERE. COMIT COMITTTTT GO INNNNNN. EEEEEEEEEEE. now hes just laughing it off hahahaha.

Fr the gank where he runs away after having darius at 300 hp is hilarious plus the added benefit of not playing aggresive on a freaking immortal champion whose whole point is doing dps like a mad dog holly shit, I also was a Trynda main for some time and this shit is simply frustrating.

God it's so hard to pity that guy. Most players are mechanically good enough to be so much higher elo than they are and fail so miserably because of a lack of conviction to make decisions to win the game. Can't imagine how hard this one mentally was for Neace, especially this guy being on Tryndamere
I hope that he's gotten better since then. Splitpushing has become an even MORE reliable strategy, meaning that the tips for drawing pressure are even better and more relevant. I wondered why he had so much fear, like you outlined later in the video; maybe he felt like it was too far gone?
awhen a client is like this not listening or responded they are mentally exhausted from too much grind and need a break before they can absorb more/get coaching, they need a break from the game and a reschedule
I think Neace being there made him very anxious and that lead to him making those tilting plays
Fight or lose, running away doesn't help because you will lose anyway .
Your being about as clear as mud for him

Thanks for all you do man.
Wait so nerfing all of the toplane items simultaneously except for Hullbreaker was a bad idea? Nerfing their only way to impact the early game in teleport? And now the solution is to nerf Hull? Top lane is already the least impactful role in the game. Is Hull strong right now? Yeah. But only because everything got destroyed. Think about old stridebreaker and goredrinker... they are a 3rd of their original usefulness. I'll agree with Neace that there needs to be more items like Hull that serve different purposes.
that darius is god awful. He could have killed tryn so easily after hitting level 2. instead he runs away from level 1 tryn for no reason and then ends up dieing right after he could have gotten a kill. this has got to be bronze elo. god bless
highly doubt it. Tryn still had heal from his q. its possible they would have traded, but that still would have been better for tryn.
it's because he's expecting tryn to all in him any second, he just didn't expect to vs the most passive tryn of all time.

When in replays you can also double click the avatars on each side of the screen to lock the camera to them, it's easier to explain.
That second kill literally made me tilt af....
tbh if was making these mistakes and my coach was reaming me for it, my ego would fold and I'd accidentally have no confidence the rest of the game.
I know it’s difficult to play while being coached but man, he is completely lacking in confidence. That Kayn gank is a textbook example of how to ensure your jungle stays away from your lane forever. That was physically painful to watch.
imagine paying 300$ to not listen and get bullied for it. convinced 1/2 of these clients have a degradation fetish
This guy being scared is exaxtly what learning a wrong lesson from something is. He threw games, ok. He should review these mistakes and analyse what was wrong. Not just stop playing the game. Best advice i can give to someone who wants to learn is always the same: define a goal and stick to it for 50 games and ignore the results. And build a home brick after brick. Do it to learn to play agressively, guard minions, even solo carry games even though you throw them sometimes. You wont learn anything by not trying.
This guy was clearly playing to not die. Instead of playing to win.
KDA means literally nothing. You can be 10-400 and still win a game, so long as you're taking the important wins on the map.
Neace looks very grimm here with his face looking so gaunt here
Yeah it's oddly evident here isn't it? He has a really gaunt expression.
Not enough Vitamin D
he just exercises a lot and restricts calories
I agree he looks skeletal or something...
His impatience would kill me. He’s so aggressive. He should try to give pointers for bateas if just scolding the guy
After Critting Darius twice and spinning away I knew this was gonna be a banger
If i am paying 300$ for a coaching session i am pissing my pants that i am not wasting my time and i would just be under pressure trying to not fuck up. Clients should be forced to do breathing exercise before starting the session.
The perfect example of "I was afraid i might die" would be to have them look at thebausffs. He dies so much yet still somehow gains massive advantages to put him and his team ahead. I never understand the mindset of I dont want to die.
I’ve been told that if I don’t die, I can farm and get ahead and just make super safe plays. If I die, enemy wins. I’m trying to play more aggressive and confident nowadays but it’s hard to let go of old habits, esp since a challenger player told me that
Hi Neace! Could you please show the elo at the beginning? or please put it in the desctiption? I feel like its an important thing to know! Cheers

Watching neace flip is like truly entertainment lol
I’m going to buy a coaching someday and I’ll be ready to follow every order to the call and I’ll still lose most likely lol
I watched the early game and I don't even play tryndamere and I was yelling to myself "Spin?!"
How is this coaching?
Why is Neace laughing at him for doing something stupid? Criticize and explain what they did wrong! Telling him to press W, spin away, reset is not coaching - what is the client expected to learn through a walkthrough? Every game is not the same which is why you speak in concepts.
I feel sorry for this silver player, he likely won’t improve after this. The whole early game was horrible - there was so much he could have improved! Yet all he received was poor back-seat gaming calls.
I can't comprehend how bad so many of the people are anywhere sub gold elo. Like literally no brains. The only excuse is if it's your first time playing, but if you can't get out of silver even as a new player, this game just isn't for you
I will never understand why Neace gets so mad when people who come to him for coaching turn out to be bad. Not sure what he expects but damn he shouldn't be coaching anything if he's going to throw tantrums when bad players turn out to be bad.
