Another great video Chuck! For those viewers who have not had the experience of shooting precision made airguns from Weihrauch, you can learn much from Chuck, as he walks us through how smooth the cocking action is, the fit and finish, and its accuracy. And yes, these are not the Walwart, Costco or other big box store types of airguns, which from experience, leave many buyers stuck with cheap, flimsy and less than accurate airguns. Because an airgun box says it shoots 1100 feet per second, or 1500 feet per second, these speeds do not make pellets accurate. Weihrauch has a long history of experimenting and producing airguns which are capable of accuracy many Americans are not accustomed to seeing or using. Weihrauch airguns hang on gun racks in trucks, on the walls or in glass gun cabinets in homes around the world, because of their craftsmanship, accuracy and their beauty, and never in a landfill or recycling bin like the cheap stuff. Matthew 28:6 He is not here: for He is risen, as he said.
I’d say everyone who’s pondering about the hw30s, act now because I’ve noticed all of the weihrauch line is getting more expensive, fast! Their top tier underlever springrifle went from less than 500€ a couple of years ago to more than 700€ lately! These rifles are just amazing, they might need a tuning kit, maybe some polishing off the rough edges but once dialed in they’re literally passed down for generations
Its all about the accuracy for that type of shooting. Plenty of power in the hw30 if shot placement is correct and not pushing silly ranges. Haven't tried one but have a hw99 and 95, both lovely guns. Happy Easter!!
A 7 ft/lb rifle is small game capable at 30yds. Wow! Great idea for a video. While everyone is chasing power Weihrauch still gets it done. My HW50s is amazing. Now I want a HW30s too.
Like always, super cool video Chuck in very challenging weather conditions. With airguns wind is always our biggest enemy...you always seem to make it work! The hw30 will always be in my collection. Enjoy the weekend with the family during this special time
I think that it was a little better before I added a high output spring from Vortec. I might have to switch back to the original spring or order one from Air Rifle Headquarters. Happy Resurrection Day to you too.🙏😃
I would also like to see how the Diana 34 slots in with the HW's as a more budget friendly option..I'm still debating which one..D34, HW30,50,95.. Happy Easter, He has Risen!
I will make it happen God willing! Any of those rifles are a good pick, but I would choose the HW95 if I could afford it. Yes, thank God that Jesus Christ is alive from the grave, and Happy Resurrection Day to you!😃👍
Great video and great rifle buddy. You're making me want a HW30 even more now. Happy Easter buddy 👍👍👍 as for a 14ftlb rifle not killing a squirrel that's funny, here in the UK unless it's on a FAC we are limited to 12ftlbs and I can assure anyone it'll kill rabbits and squirrels instant lights out on head shots beyond 50 metres assuming you're skillful enough to accurately shoot at that range. 😉
Thank you Vincent, we need to educate the masses especially those in the USA about how little energy is needed in an air rifle to hunt or pest. God bless and have a great Resurrection Day!😃👍
Not to mention how much more enjoyable it is to shoot a quiet, easy cocking rifle with little to no recoil☺️ I’m thinking about buying a hw100s sub12 for this reason, even though in Belgium there’s no power restriction. Quiet, more shots per fill, and in this specific case a shorter barrel:)
Great movie! My wife shoots with an HW30S and I bought myself an HW50. All the HW series carbines are high quality. In our country in Poland you can't hunt with air guns so we shoot animal figures :) Greetings from Poland
To be honest sometimes i think of throwing away the air gun that i made out of scrap because i can't afford to buy one,it can shoot but the challenge i face is not having good aiming sights have tried making iron sights, because here where i am it's very difficult to find one.i wouldn't want to wound any animal because of not having proper sight instead i will just continue watching your video's because they helps me alot.God bless you always.
Sounds cool to make such a thing. I can imagine making accurate sights could be a real challenge as they need to be adjustable etc. i know it all comes down to available funds but I reckon you could get likes of a richter optic or used hawke scope very cheap off likes of eBay, and screw a piece of picatinny rail to the receiver to mount it too. Probably save the project and give reliable accuracy. Or even some of these red dots or laser pointers are not much more than a tin of decent pellets. If you can attach it, it should work. The next thing to see is if it groups closely enough to be confident on taking a headshot on a rabbit or rat etc. Good luck !!
i’m loving my HW 30s in stainless… yes sir, same experience here (1:20), that special way of holding her… i came to learn it’s called “artillery hold” 😊 stay safe and happy easter!
I prefer a aftermarket spring (cant spread the link on youtube) from "Sportwaffen-Schneider" from germany. The spring is called "high performance mainspring" for hw30 for around 25euros. Its really "high performance", the best spring I ve ever used in this rifle and I use a lot different springs over the last years. Very consitend, very accurate, "high" power around 10J+ easy to cock and no issues to "destroy" the system. After month of use and thousends of pellets nearly the same as after I built it in- no really lose of power, but more consistend after the first hundred shoots. I like this small and lightweight airrrifle for precise plinking with a hawke 3-9x40 scope. Also a great rifle for beginners, youth or women.
I have the HW 30k here in England. It's a brilliant gun. I can get pellet on pellet groups up to 25 meters. I can hit a tin can up to 50 meters easy. Mine un tuned too. Looking at thumb hole stock 97 next though.
@@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 Thanking the Good Lord first, Thank you too Chuck! Have a great evening.( The wind was only under 2 m.p.h. today, so I shot a few rounds out of the .25 cal Cometa, it did well at 27 yards).
Happy Rerurrection Sunday Chuck! I have two HW30s 177/22 cal. Got them both from Krale. Great service! Open sights out of the box were amazingly accurate. Can you recommend a scope and rings to use eventually? Does the front sight get in the way? Keep up the great vids when you have time. By the way- I too was a marksmanship instructor in the Marine Corps. Camp Lejeune B range 1970. I took a range record and was sent there to train with the M14 rifle. Loved that rifle. Thank you so much and Happy Resurrection Day to you.🙏😃 I have a Hammers 3-9×32ao. It works pretty well on 9 power, but high mounts could help, or removing the front sight post. I might go back to open sights for a while, it would be good for garden 🐇 protection, lol.😃👍

My HW 80, 95lux and 97kt are brilliant, but that small candy HW30 is mostly used. My recommendations for all... test it. Blessings from Croatia
Hi Chuck!, Beautiful gun there, I hope we both get some non windy days with no rain, so we can all enjoy our air rifles, Yesterday I was out shooting some at 17 yards with the new Cometa Fenix 400 usc premier, I was half way accurate, but not good enough, so I adjusted the smallest trigger screw 2 turns to the left, now it's shooting much better, I will stick with it experimenting. Today I ordered a Cometa 220 in .177, then went to Pyramyd air online, ordered a 4x32 Hawke, and rings for it, and 5 tins of RWS hobby 7.00, I hope I ordered the right pellets?
I know you got your hw 30 from Krale .they have them on sale now. So I bought one each 177 and 22 caliber. I got them in five days. But I have to say that the actions are sure rough . how was yours ? When I got my first one here in the USA. It was smooth as butter. Do you know if they are hard to smooth out . Thank you John
Congratulations on your new HW30's. The spring guide fit really loose, so I made a pop bottle shim for the spring guide and that made a big difference.
