One of the best videos I've watched on the subject, bravo and thank you for taking the time to explain everything so clearly, especially the use of the Mimo application.
Brilliant video. We have looked at a lot whilst researching the camera. This is the best by far. We can't find the wooden tripod to buy. Do you have a link please
Terrific video, very thorough and easy to follow. I will save this for now as a reference until I have it all down. Thank you very much for patiently going through the details.
Thank you for adding information you can access in the Mimo app as well. Others have not done that (and I am happy with the Mimo app - have used it a while with Osmo Mobile 6 and my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra 5G). I have hust ordered te Osmo Action and awaits it later today. Thank you for contributing to make the startup easier to me 🙂.
Hi Daniel, If I use the DJI mic, will the quick record function work and record audio from the external mic? I would like to keep the camera off and press record only when I need it. Meanwhile, I will keep the DJI mic on to capture the audio. This setup has worked for me with a GoPro, but I am interested in upgrading to the Action 4. Thank you.
Hi, if you own the DJI MIC this will work. As soon as you press the REC button, it will record audio. The camera might be off at this time. Make sure to watch my video about the DJI MIC in combination with the Osmo Action 4 th-cam.com/video/1ESEzw8QwLg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=jKVPagTqwIZ0igVt
HI Daniel, Really handy video, i just bought Action 4 for my holidays and have used it once but the videos i did in 2.7k 60 fps ... are good but not excellent since it makes my head spin if i concentrate not sure if it need more setting to be adjusted. only saying above if you do a more detailed video for a travel log and camera settings please?
Hey there, thanks for getting in touch. I would take all my content in 4K30 or 4K60 nowadays. Make sure to get a fast writing memory card, consider to record in a log profile and get an external hard drive for all your footage. Daniel
Thanks, @@the_daniel_life ... Daniel... i have seen people vlog and they suggest I should use 50fps and not 60 in Europe? how much of that can affect a video?
Hi I am facing this issue.. I shot bright day video out in the sun and also a few inside a mall in vertical mode. When played back on the action 4 itself, it was absolutely fine. But when I played it back on a computer, the browns turned to purplish colour, dark blue turned to brown and blue sky was golden. Why???? I updated the firmware yesterday
Thanks I returened my Osmo action 3 due to the fact that I did not have a good enough phone to do the activation of my camera. Is there a list of phones one can use to activate the camera?
As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, DJI Osmo Action cameras typically require the DJI Mimo app for activation and some initial setup. The compatibility of the DJI Mimo app can vary, and it's essential to check the official DJI website or the app store for the most up-to-date information. Here are general steps to check for compatible devices: 1. **Visit the Official DJI Website:** Go to the official DJI website and look for the product page or support section related to the DJI Osmo Action 4. There, you should find information about compatible devices for the DJI Mimo app. 2. **Check App Store Listings:** Visit the app store (Google Play Store for Android devices or Apple App Store for iOS devices) and search for the DJI Mimo app. The app store listing usually provides information about compatible devices. 3. **User Manuals and Documentation:** Review the user manual or any accompanying documentation that came with your DJI Osmo Action 4. This information is often included in the product packaging. 4. **Contact DJI Support:** If you can't find the information online, consider reaching out to DJI customer support. They can provide specific details regarding compatible devices and any potential updates. Since technology and compatibility can change over time, I recommend checking the latest information directly from DJI to ensure accuracy. Keep in mind that new models of smartphones are regularly released, and the app's compatibility may be updated accordingly.

Good afternoon. Could you help me please, when I rotate the camera, it seems to cut the frame rates. I use it at 1080 at 24 Fps. How do I adjust this?
Hi, the camera should keep the frame rate. Did you update the firmware?
@@the_daniel_life Yes, I already updated

Take a video on 1080p 30frames... Make a full review. 🙏
Thank you

Just an information; Stop recording voice command will not work if you use a higher frame rate than 30 frames/sec.
Mine overheats after 15 minutes on 40-60fps, it’s annoying, how do I get longer videos like a 1hr flight with decent quality?
Firmware-Update done? Try to make multiple clips, take another resolution, change the battery between shots, because this gets hot sometimes as well
