Because that's all criminals are. Thugs who take advantage of most people's desire to avoid confrontation. And when they run into people who are trained, or very often at least unafraid, they're incompetent and useless by comparison.

Like the heroes in Benghazi, sometimes you have to sacrifice everything to do what's right.

I like how this film averts the "You shoot you'll hit her" trope. Every time I see them poke their head around a hostage's shoulder I always think "Boy, that's a big target at close range."
I mean, the hostage or the kidnapper could still move unexpectedly but it makes sense that a CIA contractor would be confident enough to take that shot

That’s one hell of a traffic stop...not even a warning ticket.
Just peppering of bullets😂
The world needs more of this.
Do you mean plausible action in movies or secret government operations to murder criminals without a court of law and leaving their corpses rotting on public roads?
If you like killing cartel members play ghost recon wildlands. Very satisfying
Mohammed Patel yh, not the same.
Lots of warcrimes to be committed there
Mohammed Patel Man oh man, flying a blackhawk and mowing down those bastards is just ASMR to me.

@@lachyt5247 You do realize that UH-60 Blackhawk literally translates to it being a black/green helicopter used by the Army, at least what my Army buddy told me. The reason why I state that it's a Seahawk or even a Knighthawk is due to the fact that earlier in the movie, you see them drive past a whole hue of helicopters with Navy markings on the rear and I don't think we see any actual Blackhawks there at all.
Chances are, they most likely used a UH-60M model for the movie but repainted it specifically to make it look like a MH-60 Navy Seahawk/Knighthawk.
@@distributeroffineopioidpro1703 during Matt and Andy conversation at the restaurant scene, Matt clearly and specificly asked for 2 blackhawk. You do realized that right, or you just didn't pay any attention.

my thoughts this entire scene
The best part is them getting revenge thinking Alejandro is dead, but finding the trucks and them dead is how he survives and makes it out of the desert so they saved him and got revenge best of both worlds
Something about the way the other chopper is circling on overwatch the whole times makes this scene so much more intense.
The accurate continuity of it's positioning is done well. Good editing.

I love the 'choreography' (so to speak) of the helicopters in this, they seem so intimidating. Like hungry predators hovering right there above them.
And it shows just how outmatched the cartel folks are in the face of an enemy with a far higher degree of power (and for the movie, no restrictions to use it). Without all the rules they stand no chance it seems.

Its realistic. Hostage-holders don't actually have as much leverage when they use them as a body shield. They can't completely conceal their head behind the others. Any decently trained shooter can easily end the situation.
