Man, Sicario I and II are some of my favorite movies for straight up action .
First one barely had any action. It’s an amazing movie but not an action movie. It’s more of a thriller with a couple very small shootouts. So many better choices out there if you want your action fix.

I really really want them to make a third Sicario movie, they were so good, especially with Josh Brolin, Benicio del Toro, Emily Blunt, Jon Bernthal, Jeffrey Donovan...I could keep going, but you get my point, amazing cast!
I think they should leave it as it is, it’ll lose it’s magic if you know none of the main characters are going to die because of plot armor, kinda like john wick.

They could also just switch up the cast, Emily Blunt and Jon Bernthal for example weren’t even in the second movie, so they could also just bring in new faces for a third one.

Danger everywhere. They portray professionals.
An uncomfrotable vehicle can be comfortable when you get used to it or right at the begining when you know its just temporary so its not worth thinking about it too much and just ignore the discomfort.

I like how Matt is telling the UAV operator that he doesn't see anything when he's trying to tell him he's in ambush. Like, ofcourse not! You can barely see 5 feet in front of you
Thermals work differently, they can see through some things and not see through other things your eyes can.
What I am the most surprised by is how it took way too long for the UAV squad to forward info about an ambush.
Since he claimed 360 visibility of 10 miles.
It's easy to fool thermals and cartels know how to fool thermals.
I mean... they HAVE to be able to fool all the tricks the U.S. employees to try and stop them.
I like how he always has Michael Westen by his side on missions 😅😅

I don't understand how the UAV overhead can't find the girl on thermals in like 5 seconds. She can't have got far on foot in that span of time. They should have spotted her the second she started moving away from the convoy!

2:10 this moment killed the immersion for me in the theater. For those that don't know, Thermal Imaging devices can't look through glass because glass blocks the infrared radiation from reaching the TI's concentrating lens. So of course the driver can't Ducking see anything.

3:57 you can actually see people in the desert shooting at the convoy, before i had assumed it was a single rocket launcher but it looks like a couple dozen guys shooting.
The least realistic part of this scene, is that they aren't shouting to be heard over the engine, and road noise.

The plot contrivances regarding the girl and the inaccuracies kind of ruin this scene. A calculated and somewhat soulless attempt to recapture the absolute magic that was the first movie.
The girls ruined the entire scene. The fact that the Federally fired one shot and at the plate carrier is ridiculous and none of the others got a shot off is ridiculous. This movie was not very good in comparison to the original.
It is a sad day when one cannot trust the federal police.

Nothing about this entire scene made sense. Fromcthe bullets pattering the ground when the girl escapes, to their sudden realization that the rest of the convoy still exists to whats-his-face aiming 3 feet above everyone's head with his stupid reflex site to then executing all those police, who were absolutely useless throughout the entire debacle

This is a complete mess divided into parts - everyone sits in their cars when they are fired upon and do not try to protect themselves from the bullets... The column of Hamers is fired upon from the right side, not a single car tries to leave the column, to make an evasive maneuver, everyone stands and waits, I don't understand why. As the repulse of the attack begins, BRLA finally remembers that it has weapons and fires. Now the sexians in unarmored Fords sit calmly with their backs to the line of fire and wait for them all to be killed. "This is exactly how people behave under fire - 100%!"

This just doesn't feel the same as the convoy scene from Sicario. The tension, and intensity, the sense of danger, the feel.....this just doesn't do it. Whereas the first film feels real, this just feels like an scene from an action movie.
The Hummers don't look up-armored. Some of those rounds would have to have gotten through.

She was a spoiled cartel princess who thought she could get away with everything. Now for the first time in her life, she was getting shot at in multiple directions surrounded by heavily armed strangers. Anyone in her place is allowed to freak the fuck out, especially a child.

As most of Villaneuve’s movies, plot twists/devices are so horrible they ruin the entire movie. In first Sicario, we had the dumbest FBI agent ever in Emily Blunt’s role and in this one it’s the little girl. And I wouldn’t blame neither of the actresses for it as Emily seems to be doing a great job playing a dumb FBI agent(I doubt and certainly hope that FBI doesn’t have idiots like that in real life) and the young girl, although not very believable, she does what the script demanded of her, so all the blame goes to the writer/director team. They’ve ruined two perfectly good movies.
