    If you're into the whole vanity thing like me (!) and want you small over-the-ear hearing aid to be as inconspicuous as possible, you can do I did with my Oticon many years ago. Glue some of your hair onto the outside! If you can, let your hair grow a little longer and, wala, camouflage. Also, the wire/tube between the hearing aid and the speaker that goes in your ear doesn't have to be "clear" color. Making it your skin color might be kind of tough, but you can at least "sand it down" so it doesn't shine. A nice stereoscopic microscope helps with this kind of work, but that's something every HA user should have anyway probably.

    Really interested in the comparison video that you'll be putting out

      We are too! The introduction of AI into the hearing arena has truly revolutionized the "standard" program in hearing aids! I am loving the fact that I don't need to switch programs to achieve the support i need in certain settings! I’ve never had hearing aids, so this will be my first pair. The cost is a lot for me, so I’m trying to get this right. I’m looking at the RIC and MRic for the Starkey Edge AI. I think I might prefer the smaller one to better hide it. But then again, the larger one has more buttons. I don’t know if I even need buttons! I work at a computer and wear glasses also. Additionally, looking at technology 20 or 24. But not sure of the difference there. Suggestions?

      You likely won't need the extra button, I wouldn't worry too much about it, especially if you intend to you the Starkey app with these. Here's a video re: the different tech levels of Starkey Edge: th-cam.com/video/Dr_SphXUQUM/w-d-xo.html

    I have the Starkey Genesis AI 24 ric rt model. I have the same hearing like you have. My problem is my Tinnitus is very loud buzzing sound 24/7. What is the best mode to get rid of the buzzing sound, or am I only going to use a sound muffling noise? Thanks Eddie

      I'm not well-versed on tinnitus but I am pretty sure all Edge can do for you in that regard is play a tinnitus masker noise.

    Do you know how to adjust the volume from the device itself, without having to use the app? Thanks.

    Echo reduction and more noise reduction would be super welcome. I' m holding out with Starkey IICs that are over 5 years old and waiting for them to release Edge AI in the IIC model. If I don't get 40 hours on a single battery that's okay (for me). Being able to understand speech better makes the slight expense way more than worth it. And, yes, it would be trivial to have a setting where Edge+ could be left on by default. Again, I think someone at Starkey has a mantra that battery life is king, and so they don't want people running their batteries down and then saying, "Starkey HA's batteries don't last".

    Superb review and information. I was initially leaning toward the Phonak Infinio Sphere as my first set of hearing aids.
    I started seeing some information about the Starkey Edge AI and discussed this with my audiologist. She is a big fan of the Edge AI so I went with that.
    I like the small footprint and the DNN which will be superb in noisy environments. Thanks again for this review. You should definitely have some more likes because people need to see this so they can have a better choice when it comes to hearing aids.
    Remember, the Edge AI RIC RT has the two buttons.
    I have a Samsung s22 Plus so hopefully the Bluetooth will work fine. Any comments about that versus an iPhone?

      I think you’re going to really like the Edge, and I’m doing a comparison video that’ll publish in about a week. It’s gonna pair fine with the Samsung phone using the ASHA specification but I would bet that you’re not going to like the streaming sound quality.

      @@Ziphearing The audiologist has ordered the RIC RT. I see you used the mRIC. Is there a big difference in size between the two? Both should operate the same with the size being the only difference, correct?

    • @Ziphearing
      @Ziphearing  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's just a size difference and the extra push button, and 10+ hours more battery life. It's great, it's not too big, I'm sure you'll like it
