You seemed to have totally missed the Talia plot. Talia stole the cure from Harley Quinn and tied her up in the Assembly Line in the Steel Mill before she could get it to Joker so that she could save Bruce. When Fake Joker had Batman dead to rights thanks to Strange's missile strikes, Talia offered him the chance to become immortal in exchange for Batman's life. Talia never intended to give Joker Lazarus, which is why she had put on the tracker that Batman placed on Talia's Elite Guard earlier in the story, so that Batman could rescue her after he (or Catwoman as it turned out) freed himself. Neither Joker or Clayface ever knew that Talia had the Cure, they thought that Batman had intercepted Harley.
Yea so you have like 3 episodes coming in and hopefully arkham origins will be started before christmas? [its a christmas game i remind you!] 1 episode on side missions [ you dont have to hunt for catwomans loot since it doesnt have any new story bits if i remember correctly] 1 episode on riddler stuff, and 1 on the harley quinn dlc! Loved your playthrough of this and cant wait for more! Especially hopeful for injustice after arkham games of course ;)
"How many do I need to throw?" The number of Batarangs you have equal how many of the Freeze grenades you should throw. 31:27 -- remember the Cain and Abel painting at the very beginning of the game? There you go.
31:28 All the way at the beginning of the game, episode one of your playthrough, there is a painting that Two-Face kept his safe behind. The painting is of Cain and Abel from the Bible, after Cain murders his brother Abel. In the painting Cain is carrying the body of Abel the same way that Batman is now carrying Joker. They foreshadowed the ending.
6:29 Batman/Bruce Wayne always leaves two red roses, I guess in this case a single red rose at the place where his parents died. I believe usually on the anniversary of their deaths. So, that's why there is a rose there. I believe there is an episode of the animated series that shows this.
It is good if you are shocked by the end of the main story because the danger with the spoilers is huge since the game came out in 2011. It was great to watching you playing city, now I cant wait for Origins.
Don't forget about the ship in the Falcone shipping yard that holds an easter egg in it that you might like to see also it requires the crypto graphic sequencer to get in.
You found the Crime Alley Easter egg where Bruce's parents died!! It's such a sad one, and also pretty sinister from Strange. I feel like it's really poetic to have the last boss fight in the Monarch Theater, ending Bruce's storyline in this game where it all began for him. I love how they got Clayface into this game, it was pretty clever, and his reveal is really cool! Joker's death STUNNED me when I played this. I genuinely thought there was no way that they were going to kill one of the main characters. But that's what really made it have such an impact. Talia had an interesting role in this whole thing; she'd never intended to let Joker have Lazarus, it was her way of trying to save Bruce's life when Joker/Clayface was about to kill him after the rubble had fallen on him, it's why she put the tracker that he'd put on her guard earlier to find them on herself so he could find her, and Joker/Clayface didn't know that she'd stolen the cure from Harley and tied her up, they'd assumed it was Batman who had it. And I'm sure people have mentioned it, but the ending with Joker being carried out by Batman was foreshadowed by the Cain and Abel painting at the very beginning, signalling that Batman was going to be carrying this guilt for the rest of his life. Because he will, and Joker knew that, his goal is always to make Batman break his biggest rule. Looking forward to the Riddler/side mission episode, and Harley's DLC! Huh, though, it's not bad, I just haven't seen anyone go so long without starting that last side mission, lol. It is a trickier one, you have to look really, really closely for it throughout the map, it's easy to miss while playing the main story. Just keep an eye out for anything that might seem out of the ordinary. There's a difficult to find Easter egg (like the warden's secret office in Asylum) that I hope you look for or look up, I really think you'd like it! I'm glad you enjoyed the game!! :)
Yeah, as much as I do like Catwoman's combat style (It has a very stop-and-start rhythm compared to the other characters and I like it decently enough for that... if you ignore that her quickfire gadgets inconsistently break combos...), you get to see here why I absolutely despise her stealth. She has so few gadgets and the ones she does have are so abhorrently bad for stealth gameplay. The only one even remotely useful is the caltrops, and even then, it sometimes feels like the thugs can hear you throw them from a million miles away and they don't knock them down long enough to be viable. Her mobility in standard stealth rooms that aren't explicitly built for her ceiling crawling is atrociously clunky and uncooperative, resulting in not being able to get up to vantage points when you think you can (and really should). Do I even need to mention why that's a problem when she can't glide to counteract that problem? To this day, I still wish they gave her current gadgets more functionality and more gadgets that fit her burglar occupation, like, IDK, letting her rappel from the ceiling using her whip or setting up snares beneath vantage points to act as an equivalent for inverted takedowns. Hell, even just doing something lazy and copying Batman's smoke pellet over to her I don't think anyone would complain about. Maybe the caltrops could be changed to something that sticks enemies to the floor, maybe her bolas could actually be used to tie enemies up and hold them in place? How cool would it be for her to also just have something that scrambles enemy communications even for just a short while so you can freely get takedowns in without their leader telling them that you just took someone out? Just, SOMETHING, man _...Yeah, I may or may not be scarred from having to 100% the stealth challenge maps with her and getting incredibly angry with her controls and gadgets..._
This really has been so enjoyable. I know it isn't over and you have more to do, but that feeling like it's over is settling in. Thank you for a truly memorable playthrough. I look forward to watching you clean up what's left.
Thank you for this comment, makes me so happy my playthrough was able to connect with people, even though I’m really new to the Batman universe, or not as well versed as others in all the lore!
@@PhoenixNat It is easily one of my all time favourite playthroughs that I have watched, with your other Arkham playthrough in there as well. I think it was mostly due to the amount of pure enjoyment your showed playing them. You genuinely seemed to love every minute of it (well maybe not those pesky AR tests, ugh!)
While comic books are notorious for characters to never really die, the Arkhamverse is a self contained, non-canon story(although pretty close), so they were free to kill any character they wanted for the drama to have more weight. Congrats on beating the story, can't wait for Arkham Knight
I vaguely remember that after this game came out and was out for a little while because he didn't want to spoil the ending, that Mark Hamill said that he was retiring from playing/voicing the Joker. Which made the ending of this game even sadder for fans of his Joker. He did later clarify that if a really script came along that he would consider coming out of retirement but most likely he was done.
The unstarted side mission is hard to find, just keep an eye out for someone in unusual places. And please remember the cryptographic sequencer Easter egg
One thing, not good or bad, just a thing I noticed. That last side mission you have, I've never seen anyone go the whole game without that one starting before....
Maybe you figured this out in editing, but the reason Joker hasn't taken the cure is that Harley stole it for him and Talia stole it from her. That's probably why Harley was tied up, she got back to Joker, said that she had the cure and when she couldn't find it Joker got angry.
You found Crime Alley! It's a really sad easter egg, but it's commendable that the devs included it. Crime Alley is obviously where Bruce's parents were shot and murdered after leaving the Monarch Theater which is where the final showdown with Joker takes place. It feels very poetic that the story should end where Batman originated from, where it all began.
Hi Nat great video, this has been such a great playthrough the story is really good, i was surprised when Talia was shot my first time playing this, the music to batman carrying joker was really good, i do like the part where you can switch between batman and cat woman, hope you have a nice evening
"It's genius how they keep him (Joker) in the game without being in the game by a simple voice mail." So, you're saying that Mark Hamill literally "phoned" in his performance.
If you beat the game in New Game Plus there is another Easter Egg in the credits. Harley Quinn begins singing a sinister version of "Hush, Little Baby."
After the fight with Clayface I think Batman is just going to throw out this Batsuit. A lot of clay stains, and I don't think even Alfred is going to be able to wash that out.
Harley Quinn stole the cure from GCPD when you were fighting freeze, Talia then stole the cure from Harley Quinn that’s why you see her tied up in the steel mill, Talia had the cure and joker never got it

15:11 That is the name of the track that is playing in that exact same moment😂
56:08 Not Freeze. Drowned, probably by Penguin and his goons.
28:25 Open wide and say "AAAHHH!"

44:27 "Heads or tails?"
Considering that it's Catwoman I'm going to assume she takes tails. Because cats have tails.
5:20 silent takedowns exist

If you remember the beginning of the game with picture batman and joker scene was a reflection of that picture.

You've got the side missions but don't forget the Harley Quinn's Revenge DLC.

Talia literally said that, it's not probably

The end of the main story shocked the majority of players. Not many expected the game developers to kill off such an iconic character.
Harley Quinn stole the cure from GCPD when you were fighting freeze, Talia then stole the cure from Harley Quinn that’s why you see her tied up in the steel mill, Talia had the cure and joker never got it
Part of the reason why the game doesn't have that many Catwoman sections is because all of her playable parts were DLC in the original release.
Check out the audio tapes for joker these’s are after you beat the main story it’s an interview conducted by dr strange
Now, play DLC Harley Quinn Revenge.
Are you gonna do Arkham origins next ?
Damn
You Will play the Arkham Knight?
