- This is a trail that I'm kinda-sorta fast on, as I've ridden it more than any other trail, and know it well! With that being said, I'm still under 1 year of experience mountain biking, so there's plenty of room to get faster!
Most people start their Northshore ride at the MADD Shelter, and either go east or west. East is more mellow, west is more technical and difficult. Loops 1-4 comprise the east side, and 5-7 comprise the west side. Here I started at a different parking lot off of Park Rd and did loops 1-5. This is about 14 miles, and gives you a good sample of the trail system.
In the coming weeks/months I'll film the west side and get that posted as well so you can see some of those more difficult rock gardens!

So after watching Sansom I had to watch this one to see how it compares. I think you're right, Northshore looks like a lot more fun.
It's my favorite, and has become even more fun as I've progressed!

Good, I'm glad they're helpful! Well, my average speed ends up under 10 mph, haha! I never can get in good enough shape to rocket up hill like these XC racer guys do!

I suck at jumps, but I did eventually start hitting all the jumps at NS. This vid was my first year riding.

I had a buddy that I was riding with go head first into the tree just to the left of the trail from the jump at 9:05. He just landed wrong ended up just having a huge scrape on his head

I know what you mean, you do so some real sketchy technical stuff, bomb down some steep ass hills, get some serious air time and end up busting your ass on something stupid. Great video!

So how well is this trail labeled? I’m looking to ride in Dallas Oct 7 but haven’t road trails in the area without a guide or someone knowing the routes.
Well, there are signs throughout that will say "5W" or "4E" for example. This tells you if you're heading east or west, and what loop you're on. However, the loop numbers are confusing. Starting from the MADD shelter (which is in the middle) and heading east you'll start off on loop 1 and go out to loop 4, then come back 4, 3, 2, 1. Going west from MADD it goes 5, 6, 7. It's a stacked loop system. I don't think it's very difficult, but people new to the trail have told me they were confused. There's a map here: www.dorba.org/trail.php?t=19

Oh man, you missed some good stuff on loop 7! Yeah, when you come to the road you gotta turn right. Trail is on the left side up the road (the 2nd one... first one is the exit).

I should visit that area sometime.... I lived in Keller for a little while a couple years ago. Never would have guessed there's worthy mtb trails lol all I did was sportbikes back then!

How do you think it would be on a dirt jumper? Good or a little too rough for single gear?
Is a dirt jumper really made for a regular trail? There are dirt jumps at Katie Jackson. Seems like taking it on the trail would be pretty tough.
Huntstyle I already ride the jumps at KJ. Just want to try some other stuff.
@@ihaatey0u well, only one way to find out! I've never ridden a dirt jumper at all, but seems like it would be a drag on a trail.
