Honestly, considering it's a live action triple changer, the most important thing to me is that you can't identify parts of her jet mode in her car mode and vice versa. She pulls that off wonderfully where even official, G1-styled figures fail (what even is Legacy Blitzwing?)
Eh, I'm fine with Blitzwing. Especially since the tank bits on the bottom of the jet can act as a stand for the jet mode since the jet and tank parts are separate. Nice free stand, although it would have been nice to not have to do that to begin with.

Hasbro has made triple changers with terrific kibble management since G1, a few of which are Blitzwings. Triple changers, whether at their most basic, or most complicated, must be efficient, or they will fail. Even holding Legacy Blitzwing to the standard of G1 Blitzwing, he's not handling his kibble well.
Shatter and Dropkick are still the best live action Transfomers villians, although that's not saying much......I'm still hunting for that second studio series Shatter

To be fair, it’s a live action triple changer that has to stuff those jet parts into a small muscle car, and even with the kibble under the car, none of it looks necessarily like plane kibble (most likely due to the black magic and eldritch conjurations of 3rd party companies that they somehow slip into the transformers)

Really for spaghetti engineering this was far from the worst case. Really solid like you said, but also kind of cool looking? The way that the limbs and struts splay out before locking back in with each transformation makes me think of an oriental fan opening and closing. Definitely something a stop-motion animator could go ham with.

8:50 well Jobby you see Shatter’s Jet mode is that of a sea Harrier Jet (an Alt mode that Aerialbot Member slingshot shares). which is known for it’s Rounded look which made it hard to make a toy of Shatter, Hence why her Toy of her Jet mode Shows a different Jet mode and do to that this Toy couldn’t help but have Kibble so it was a double edged sword.

Angela Bassett not only is the coolest playing a mother to T’Challa, but also knew how to play a villainous Decepticon alongside Justin Theroux. I like the alt modes they chose for the character as a triple changer, a Plymouth GTX (looks like a semi off road conversion) and an AV-8B Harrier Jump jet (that would go on to inspire the F-35 Lightning)
It’s so cool to watch the first transformation and see one half of her as a jet and the other half as a car midway through 😂 The engineering for this is crazy!
In spite of the kibble, everything looks solid and flows rather well. The car mode being the worst offender, doesn't look terrible and the jet mode just looks like a beefy harrier.

8:29 The instructions have a small fault for one reason. You see, the first batch released by Metagate had feet that stuck out in both altmodes. The second batch onwards retooled them so that they could fold in and hide in both the car and jet mode, along with replacing the white in her deco with grey for better movie accuracy.
I mean I don’t know what you were expecting to happen with a deluxe class figure. Just look at the process alone that it takes to accomplish a proper triple-changing Shatter figure. Don’t get me wrong, it’s fantastic that we finally have a triple-changing Shatter figure, but that’s impossible to do at the Deluxe class size point. Even at an MP scale this Shatter figure has some compromises in her vehicle modes. Those compromises would have tripled with a Deluxe class figure; probably even leaking into how well the robot mode would have functioned as well as being heavy on the potential for breakage. Even black magic engineering has its limits. It’s just simply impossible to make a Deluxe class figure based on a live-action design into a well functioning triple-changer figure. The closest we ever saw to that was the original ROTF Soundwave Deluxe figure, but that thing simply had its satellite panels fold inwards to get it into the starship mode. You can do it with more toon-based/simplistic designs since there’s not too much detail put into them. But live action designs have way more detail and much more involved transformations. You just can’t do something like MetaGate’s Shatter figure at such a small size. If it could be done we would have seen a third party company try to give us a triple-changing Deluxe class Shatter and Dropkick a while ago.

The part on the side that isn’t pegged in is meant to be moveable it’s the engine nozzle that rotates downward to act as a helicopter, also the elevators aren’t meant to be angled upward for accuracy
