    I bought this revolver when your brother reviewed it first. It is brutal with full power 158gr and the stock grips. Tried Pachmayr, finally settled on Hogue grips and it is bearable. Would rather fire my Model 69 44Mag any day. The Trijicon insert was dim when it was new, now it is non functional, of course. The barrel cylinder gap is large enough to pepper my face with powder at least every other shot. Strangely enough I still have it and like it. But I certainly would not recommend it to very many people. I have the Simply Rugged holster to match and is sweet to carry.
    Someone tell Smith&Wesson to bring back the 5 inch model 60. That was the sweetheart of this model.

    A real beauty. Revolvers are top choices for serious carry. What I love about 357 is it takes it out of the Self Defense on humans class and makes it worthy of ranch and outdoor work.

    Keeping up the good work! Keep them coming, cause we will keep watching! Gotta love a S&W revolver on sweet trigger. I've had 2 one was stolen other sold due to wifes illness she is a well and cancer free. She told me to get what I had to sell, told her in due time. Don't think she knew that I had a rare model. That would be hard to replace (not telling anyway) its saved the family. So it did it's job. Any love S&W and family really is all that matters. My 2 cents

    Bought one of these 2 months ago. Barrel was misaligned right out of the box. Sent it in for repair. Got it back a month later, it was still misaligned. Not sure if S&W actually did anything. So I sent it back again. This time, I was told that the gun could not be fixed, and that I would get a replacement under warranty. WTF? Happy that it's being replaced, but 2 months to do so? May be the last new S&W that I buy for a while. And from what I see, Colt is no better these days.

    • @Gunblastdotcom
      @Gunblastdotcom  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is not acceptable, neither in the "regular" S&W line, and certainly not from the Performance Center. Please keep me posted.

    Echoing what others are saying, thank you so much for keeping the channel going. We really appreciate the insights. I bought one of these back in March. Didn't know I wanted it until I saw it Ha Ha Ha. Bought a DeSantis thumb break holster and it is my new constant companion when bowhunting. I keep "social work' Hornady loads in it until I head into the woods, then i change to snake "repellent.' (A constant concern in Florida I assure you). The gun is very accurate and a joy to shoot, plus it just looks so damn good!

      @@lionelhutz3142 the tritium insert on the sight is pretty much useless I swapped it for an XS Tritium dot sight. The action is smooth and it's light weight so full 357 loads are a handful but not unmanageable.

    Good night, that recoil looked vicious. I always hrard the 357 magnum got its one shot stop reputation in part because it acted like a flash bang with all of the flash and concussion from the muzzle..lol

  • @9999plato

    Thanks for the great review and holster reference. I own a different S+W>357 Pro that has the 5" barrel and ;larger frame. It has the same incredible trigger but I'd never try carrying it due to it's size and weight. Your model matches well to my wife's Colt Cobra? 3"357 in many areas which she tends to carry in her handbag ( I warn her constantly about the shortcomings of the off body carry but you know women...). Getting back to that, your friends shoulder carry system seems like the perfect cure for my dilemma. I dont have a lightweight compact carry revolver and dont have the attendant holster to carry it. I have decided to look into to purchasing the holster creating the need to buy just one more S+W in a caliber I already have. My Colt Python's larger frame, cylinder and grip are to bulky for this use. How to justify this...
