As one of your over 5,000 subscribers I want to be first to reiterate that we enjoy your work and candid insight. You and I have a few of the same machines and are of a similar age in life. Enjoyed your input on the R.E. big-bore and will let you know how mine works out, I waited until almost the 3-year interval to make the switch to 743cc/INT750. Thanks again Michael.
@@michaelmam just began the Summer of 2023 with a few hundred miles on my 750; today is 4th of July and I am changing the oil to full synthetic, put 2,000 kms (1,250 miles) with Motul mineral oil. The added torque and horsepower makes it similar to my heavier 2012 Bonneville SE and Thruxton, both 865cc but closer to 500 pounds and 5-speed vs 6-speed and 430-ish pounds. Very pleased with the outcome.
Great to see you Michael. Thanks for the tour of the garage. And nice job covering the bike auctions too. Looking forward to seeing your next videos. Enjoy your time off
ZRX vs Z900RS would be an interesting video to see, Japanese muscle bikes have an appealing look. If you review a Z650RS loan bike is that an opportunity to compare it to your big bore Interceptor too?
A fantastic review of the "garage". Enjoy a well deserved break from filming and obviously, looking forward to future videos especially on the ZRX v Z900RS comparison. Once I get my Yamaha 350LC back from Dr Holmes, you can borrow her for a "retro review". Finally, I concur, that your V-Strom 650 IS A WINTER BIKE. 😁
Very good video and I couldn't agree more regarding TH-cam becoming less enjoyable and like a job, as a TH-camr for 15 years, I get it, saying that watching your videos has been a key point of kickstarting my passion again making videos on my 2nd hobby that is not motorbike or car related.......all the best, Dave 🙂
Hi Dave , I do enjoy making the videos and want to do them in a way and at a pace that suits me and my lifestyle . Glad you are enjoying making your videos too 👍
Not to bad for a Mam of leisure! Sorry sorry lol Have fun this summer and I'll be checking in. Always wanted to do that northern tour of Scotland. I guess I'll just have to enjoy you two crazy kids doing the trek.
Great videos, I enjoy the reviews they don’t seem like they are just read from a spec sheet and have a personal touch to them including a bit of history on the bike etc and great quality audio and video 👍🏻
Thank you . I do try and make them personal and actually avoid videos or articles on bikes I plan to test, until I have finished mine . Makes it interesting after I have finished mine though 😂.
A good PH natural alkaline based foam applied with a pressure washer works the best on that kind of dirt on your GS1250 and will reach all those hard places, and of course rinse it clean with high pressure washer (just a 1phase consumer type with a bit lower working pressure).
@Michael Mam I'm based in Sweden, but if you go with foam design for the automotive world, I'm sure you're safe. I use a German brand, Reiger PH natural, its a universal multi-purpose type. Used it on my 1290 sas for years with no damage. Takes bugs and dirt very good. But of course, for oils, I use petroleum based degrease. But on bikes it's really beneficial to use foam to reach the dirt.

Hello from Australia! Love your work and approach to reviews. Yes please compare the Z900RS to the ZRX as they were pinnacle tribute bikes of their time from Kawasaki. A separate review of the Z650RS would be interesting too. Would you consider reviewing a Guzzi V7 vs the Enfield big bore? Enjoy your summer.
Hi Michael. Thanks for your video. As always thoughtful and engaging. I see you have a bike lift rated at 500kg. Could you let me know the make as I would like to buy one. I have a 2018 Goldwing so need a heavy duty lift. Thanks. Enjoy your summer riding.
Mr Mam, have a great summer, Ride and enjoy. Just want to say, I really want to see a vid between the retro reproduction of the Eddie Lawson replica, lol IE ZRX, in Canada in 1980 I suppose it was that bike was the KZ1000 Eddie Lawson replica and a comparison to the Z900rs and in Canada back in the day it was called the KZ900. Just wondering have you ever owned a Kawi Zephyr 1100 or had any interest in them. I also want to say I ride my Royal 650 often and like you the more I ride it, the more I love that little bike, it really reminds me, in a lot of ways of my 1980 Yamaha RD400. Looking forward to more vids from you. Cheers Karl Squire.
Thank you Karl . Great to hear from you . No , I haven’t owned a Zephyr but have seen a few . Visually I can see why the new Z900rs reminds some of it . They both have that slightly shorter , squat look ? I am enjoying my Enfield . I sense I may well have it long after my back tells me that I am beyond sports bikes 😂
The front cartridge has a 9.5 nm spring rate and the spring preload is 8mm (8 turns). 120 mm air gap and base compression -16 , rebound -14. Rear shock has a 600 lbs spring . Rebound base is -10, Hi/low compression both -8. The set up gives a ride height of just under 800. I increase the preload a full turn when loaded . Hope this helps!
Thoroughly enjoyed that - loving your collection!
Thanks Andy . Really enjoyed your Tuscany trip 👍 If you ever what to borrow one of the bikes , just message me ..

See you at Wellesbourne on the 21st of May?
Lovely garage tour, bikes all look great, enjoy the summer 🤞we have 🌞, take care, stay safe 🏍 👍
Nice recap on the bikes and taster for what's to come later this year. Have a good safe riding summer - here's to some decent weather .... have fun

Any foam in particular that you recommend ? I learnt the importance of PH neutral a few years ago and don’t take risks on expensive bikes . 👍

It's a big ask, but can you do a post on the nitron settings for the 1000GT. How you have it setup and the seat height alternative
