@@tirthbrahmakshatriya9982 first thing i would ask that which college are you studying Second one you have maths in 3rd semester which means you can take the syllabus and look at the topics for gate exam and in internet there were many previous year question papers are there which helps you to practice it Third one if have the syllabus of mechanical engineering then you can easily study from TH-cam subject like fluid mechanics, strength of materials etc For fluid mechanics and strength of materials best book is BS Grewal and for thermodynamics you can take RK rajput book and for aptitude portion you can take oswal publication book which is easily available on Flipkart Hope it will help you ☺️

@@hanyamir_ in general PhD after m.tech 7.5+ cgpa required..but for PhD after b.tech 8+ cgpa is required..there are some concession for St/sc students only...pl check the eligibility once on the website
@@MANISHMEHTAIIT i am an st candidate. But i was confused about new education policy that says for phd 7 pointer for st and 7.5 for general. Only problem is that policy doesn't say about gate. Whether that is mandatory or not

U have to check eligibility of different IITs, nits on their website .. what specialization they allow for PhD in CS....most probably it will be yes..
