During the tune that he plays for the nokia call, he interrupts his own rythmic flare segment ( 0:54 ) with the Nokia tune. a lot of people are saying "oh he wasn't pissed" uhh look at his face, dude was clearly pissed...
but by saying nothing and instantly doing something vague, we get to interpret it as not being mean spirited and get a nice moment. that's what I think at least. and then I'm sure the musician felt a little joy in soliciting such a laughter in the room
He was pissed, yes, but then took the otherwise pessimistic situation and made it one of optimism :)
Of course he was pissed, he clenched his jaw for a moment there. And of course he'd be pissed, his job means to stand up in front of a crowd and ask them to be patiently quiet while he proves his talent at something very effimerous and delicate. If anyone breaks that, all his efforts and the whole profession is put down. It's "just" music, but it's a lifetime practice, requiring exercise and research, and it's so easy to ridicule the commitment, which I'm sure this professional had to face several times like all musicians. But he did deal masterfully with it.
@@commanderleo yeah, but it's the sort of mistake that people make because they don't give a crap about what for the fool on stage is his whole life path. We don't know if it was something serious, or if the person in this video just forgot to turn it off.
Just glad the dude took it somewhat well.
@@bigwinz Knowing and understanding are different things. People who appreciate classical music understand this naturally like taking off shoes before bed. Just don't make any excuses. Keep the phone silent. It's not a fast food/ball game situation, have some respect if not for yourself then for others and the artist.
@@SandraCuriel-mr1qn Depends on where you live. I live in scandinavia, where it's fairly safe. If you life in a place with lower living standards like the US or India I can understand the concern.
you can see how annoyed he got but he turned it into both a callout and a fun moment for everyone.

For everyone who keeps saying “violin” or “violinist”
It’s a viola and he’s a violist.
But when the majority calls is a violin and a violinist, does that not become the norm considering the majority calls it that?
CME-LFT Two different instruments my guy
Oh
@@cmelft2463 Bruh. It doesn't matter what people think, the truth will stay the same. It's a viola 😂
@@damngangproductions8835 cheers, didnt know they were different. Obviously I have no knowledge when it comes to musical instruments, just never heard anyone ever say viola etc.
Wow the tone of that viola is amazing!

VoltageTHD HOW THE FOK DO I DISABLE CAPS XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
+. “ccityplanner12” Yes! You are right. I saw this when it came out and commented that it was planned. The timing was too right and he had practice the song ahead of time. Some moron proceeded to bite my head off. I do play the violin and the idiot that commented probably didn't.
I'm glad the violinist had fun with a hard/embarrassing moment!
classic and another classic xD

...against war
Thats how you turn a negative into a positive :D
Kinda positive, I would call it constructive rather than positive, it clearly annoyed the musician, but he decided to build on it rather than leave it on a sour note.
Nah man that's the biggest fuck you I'm ever seen
Thats the sweetest revenge i would say
It's called passive-aggressive...
if he had gotten mad or ignored it, no one would have watched his video, but because he had a great attitude he has 14million views... well played sir
You could tell he was lightly pressing down on the string before he played. Many violinists finger the tune gently so only they can hear it and the audience cannot.
robbydax didn't know that, thank you
I do the same thing with the guitar lol
You can do this with woodwind instruments too, pressing down the keys releases a little bit of air so you can hear the pitches of the notes.
robbydax IT'S A VIOLA
robbydax he plays viola
