I've recently picked up chess after so many years, and your channel has been an amazingly enjoyable resource. I am 30, so not sure how far I can go into he chess world. Currently sitting at 1400+ rating at lichess. I think that's considered amateur right? It's been fun, and I hope to get to 2k plus some day. I learned the london opening from you and it's my favorite opening as white so far. I wish I had chased chess when I first got to the us 10 years ago. Thanks a lot for the great content Eric
What's the best move for black in the Stafford after 5. e5 ? My last match I tried Ne4 but white responded with Qe2 and my attack sort of fell apart. Wondering if I just missed the continuation line or if Ng4 is better. Engine suggests Nd5 but that seems like backing off from the Stafford style attack to me.
at 4:01 what if you check with your queen, they block with the pawn, you check with your bishop then take the pawn that was attacking your queen. Does that work or does it fall apart to something?
