    Just for reference on e4 e5, this speedrun, Danya has played the Vienna only once. He has tried playing the 4 Knight's Scotch 4 times, but has yet to reach it
    Danya has faced c5 8 times, c6 4 times, e6 2 times, and d5 2 times. The other first moves against e4 have been reached once: d6, g6, b6.

    Really did demonstrate blasting open the centre. I usually try to develop my pieces first and often by then it's too late to get a decisive attack.
    Have to say I'm a tad disappointed that I started learning first the Kings indian which you then switched to the granted and the vienna which you've only managed to play once heh.
    I know the vienna is less effective at this level but that would be just as helpful as then we could go despertar in theory and see what to do if your opponent plays all the right moved which my opponents do sometimes at 1700.
    Hope that didn't sound whiny I can't appreciate enough all that you do. I went to a chess club for the first time since my school days, placed against literal children and lost two and drew one so I feel like I got a real adultos chess otb experience all thanks to you and Eric rosen T.T

    Daniel do you have a video somewhere where you explain why you recommend the grunfeld to beginners/intermediate players? I was looking at lines in the exchange variation, but it seems quite difficult for black to deal with white’s huge center. Objectively it might be equal, but as a beginner/intermediate player it seems quite difficult to deal with.

      He talks about it a little bit at the beginning of this video: th-cam.com/video/YzI6qI-33_U/w-d-xo.html
      Daniel places more value on learning theory than other chess personalities like Hikaru/Levy. They think it's more important to improve other aspects of your play before getting into dense openings, but he thinks intermediate players shouldn't shy away from it.

      @prplt 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      it's ok against the Italian and 2 knights as well (in fact against the Italian f5 has the highest win rate), the opponent just captured the wrong pawn after d4 (the best is to play fe and then if white finds Nxe5 (because most people play the incorrect Nxe4) you play Bb4)😂
