First I absolutely LOVE your exercices, then I find that you're very good at demonstrating them and last but not least I really appreciate your explaining what happens in the body (or in the inner ear for that matter) while doing the exercices, it gives more sense instead of just performing the exercices without knowing exactly what they're good for. Thank you so much ! You're just great ! Greetings from France.
I'm here from a TH-camr (Mona TV), she recommended your channel in a live stream last night. Everything she recommended so far has been great, I'm subscribing too. Thank you for this video, is very well done.
Wow, thanks I found this very interesting and helpful but this also made me notice how bad my right knee is as I tried to do the balancing around the compass. If I do it anyway, will that help strengthen that knee?
Miss Alys M, the left ear and left eye are connected to the right side and vice a versa. most balancing and coordination problems ( if your overall health is good) are fixed by training or retraining yourself.
How would we assess balance ability? The assessment you showed is a mobility assessment, but how could we test before and after for actual balance improvements??
How to explain that your inner ears needs to work more ? Lack of body motion during the day ? Lack of eyes tracking ? Walking too flat/close to the ground ?
There are numerous reasons that can create issues. Lack of movement and stimulation is definitely a common issue. We also see many issues after head trauma, infection and from certain medications. Thanks!
Omg this is way harder than it looks. 😳 I work in a hog slaughter packing company. I stand and package spareribs all day. I have to wear a hard hat with ear muff protective gear and I have balance issues all day. The hard hat is adjustable in the back and I put it on the loosest setting so it’s not squeezing my head but the earmuffs on the sides are not adjustable and their squeezing my head from the sides. I think they’re causing me to have balance issues.
