My hair just stopped falling out after three years. Potassium deficiency. You need to eat 6 bananas and, or potassium supplements. It is a horrible death. Eyes, dry eyes, heart, teeth, muscles, so much more malfunctions. Brain misfires. Short-term memory.
Forget about amino acids???? Try PABA (Para Amino Benzoic Acid) 500 mg. twice a day(1,000 mg.)! Do this for one year and you will definitely notice a difference, for grey hair!!
@@dradamfields PABA used as a 'natural' sunscreen so I could see how it might protect 'hair aging' from Sun damage. I was looking into trying PABA also.
I bought a laser hair comb from QVC because I was concerned about hair shedding and also my eyebrows. I started playing with the device and used it on painful joints from rheumatoid arthritis. My experience was that shaving to the skin - using 000 blade on Oster professional clippers - caused what appeared to be double density of individual follicles and normal growth coming in where near baldness was present. TO BE CLEAR one was my niece who had been on scalp electrodes after birth and by age 2 still had a nearly bald crown and ring around the occipital also nearly bald. And working in hair cutting in the 90's I did a LOT of bowl cuts (shaved from nape & ear to occipital area.) For my niece I shaved her whole head about every 2 weeks for 3 or 4 months and then let it grow back in. Her hair grew in uniformly and very thick, which it has remained for about 17 years so far. For the boys and men I shaved virgin hair and had such frequent repeats that I really got to know them. In general side-burn and side scalp hair got thicker both in coarseness and density - to the point that I worried these guys were going to regret the hairstyle as they aged (because the top was SO different) My nephews, who's hair I still do still have the same pattern of density - the sides are about double the top and they have gone to #2-4 tappers into longer tops (your normal 1950-1980 business cut.) However the coarseness of the sides and back have evened back out after years of not shaving. Despite the fact that the longer hair is still cut with the same clippers using a guard.
@@dradamfields idk but I wondered the same. There were a lot of people so I KNOW something was going on. It was also interesting that my nephews hair remained thicker but the texture normalized compared to the top hair over time - once it was allowed to grow out and just be trimmed again. I was worried for about 3 years and now their hair looks and feels exactly the same - except is about twice as thick on the sides as top and they're both in their early 20s.
Hey I rocked the bowl cut for years and now the hair on my sides and back is really thick. But the hair on top is thin and starting to reced. I wondered if I just shaved my whole head a few times when I was young if my hair would be thick all over??
@@w1975b It's possible because I was using electric Oster professional clippers on the basic 000 blade (no guard) on the toddler. And various blades and guards on the boys with bowl cuts. I have always wondered about this.

@43 minutes GREAT QUESTION!!! Regarding transplants in the long term etc I had a transplant with scalp reduction about 10 years ago. My hair quality has changed and has gotten a bit more wiry but that is from my mom's genes..But, so far so good! I find that my hair looks far more full when it is cut short.. So, I will begin to incorporate some of the techniques for better scalp circulation to hang on to what I have. But, this is the first I have heard about transplanted hair going away. You guys are doing great work! TY!
Hi Avani, I'm old and also had my hair falling out in handfuls every day for months. I found out that many women had that problem after having covid, which I also had. There are a number of sites that talk about it, and say that the hair does grow back. I found taking 1 teaspoon of Gelatine every day (in smoothies, soups, etc), my hair has grown back to the thickness it was before. I hope this helps.
Hi Adam, thanks for these 2 great interviews with Rob. You both mentioned you would share a link to the video of Rob demonstrating the scalp massage. I can't see the link in the video description? Can you please direct me to it? Thank you.
Aren’t any otc micro needling devices still not the best because the angle in which the needles enter the skin, causing longer tears? If you go to a professional, the needles go straight up and down into the skin for a clean puncture.
I am trying the rice water, also I have read that adding baking soda to the shampoo helps but not sure about that. As for my gray hairs, I love them and earned every last one of them. So be proud of yours Adam!
Remembering the nanny of my daughter’s mom the hair so dark and on her 80’ asked her why like that and said always put virgin coconut oil on her hair 🇸🇽🇺🇸
There is some research on it and it looks somewhat promising. Would have been a good question for me to ask Rob. www.nourishdoc.com/health/acupuncture-for-hair-loss-treatment
I really enjoyed your collaborations with Rob, a lot of interesting and helpful information. It's a treat to know we are all working together to find solutions.
Those long term hair transplant photos are just as likely to be because the original hair that was in the recipient area continued to thin and fall out after the transplant just as you would expect, not because the transplanted hairs fell out. Especially since people have a tendency to slack off on the pharmaceuticals after the transplant because they don't feel the same urgency they did when they looked bald. I've seen guys where you can tell that all that's left are the thick transplants.
I found some of my hair that is white at the bottom but turned dark brown (my original hair colour). Why is that? Am I having deficiency in certain vitamins etc. that causes greying since some hairs turned dark again. 🤔
Great interview! Lots of amazing info. I wonder how much micro biome of each area of the body influences transplants. For some reason hair from the nape transplanted to the front hairline eventually falls out. Does hair transplanted from the front hairline to the nape become stronger and longer? Could local micro biome effect that?
Good question! I think that one would be for Rob English or Kiran Krishnan. Check out this conversation I had with Kiran. He's a microbiologist that formulated the first multi-spore probiotic in the world. He talks a about the skin microbiome. I'll ask him your question on our next interview.

Talking about hair transplants thinning - could that just be the non-transplanted hairs continuing with their own miniaturization and loss process *around* the hairs that were transplanted? As you mentioned, it is always highly recommended to stay on medical treatments like finasteride even after a hair transplant. And actually, most recommend to not even attempt a transplant until you have been on finasteride for a year and confirmed that it effectively stabilized your loss. If finasteride doesn't work for you, then a transplant will likely lead to bad situations in 5+ years, where the transplants remain but your natural hair continued to thin and fall out and your hair pattern is a mess.

Imm a Master Barber in Georgia....it's in the books how to stimulate the blood in the scalp that grows hair. Hot towels will do this also with massage. There are also electronic stimulating devices that help also. This has been since ancient of days....not new....it's in rhe Barber books!
Now I know the reasons for my non-stop hair shedding since I was in my mid 30s up till now I'm senior. I've been suffering from an even loss of hair where all over my scalp there's hair falling even I'm not combing or brushing my hair. Few weeks ago I was so scared to see the massive hair fall that reached 200 strands in just one time combing! 😢😢😢 Thanks Doc Adam and to Mr. Rob English for this video.
Do you believe that women should take Saw Palmetto? If so what Brand and protocol do you recommend?
My hair just stopped falling out after three years. Potassium deficiency. You need to eat 6 bananas and, or potassium supplements. It is a horrible death. Eyes, dry eyes, heart, teeth, muscles, so much more malfunctions. Brain misfires. Short-term memory.
Forget about amino acids???? Try PABA (Para Amino Benzoic Acid) 500 mg. twice a day(1,000 mg.)! Do this for one year and you will definitely notice a difference, for grey hair!!
Oh my! You're speaking my language. I'll check it out.
@Randy McWaters thank you!
According to webmed taking more than 12mg a day can damage your liver, is that correct?
@@dradamfields PABA used as a 'natural' sunscreen so I could see how it might protect 'hair aging' from Sun damage.
I was looking into trying PABA also.
Where did rob get that hair?!!
Looks so good you'd think it was a wig ; )
I bought a laser hair comb from QVC because I was concerned about hair shedding and also my eyebrows. I started playing with the device and used it on painful joints from rheumatoid arthritis. It really calmed down the pain. I googled laser therapy for joint pain and found out that laser is used for therapy for joint pain but the research hasn't been done to prove it. It seems like proving how much pain you feel or don't feel would be difficult.

@@fairchild1737 I am interested to hear that. I am really vexed by the hair loss. At the hair salon, my stylist has remarked over and over that a lot of my hair sheds when she styles my hair. But no thoughts on why. I just got a bulk supplement of potassium citrate. It would be great if that helped. The dry eyes and chapped lips and muscle cramps are a problem for me also. Thank you for sharing this.
This is amazing. I wonder if there is any research on this.
I wonder if the close shave stimulates/massages the area and that is what "works the magic".
@@w1975b It's possible because I was using electric Oster professional clippers on the basic 000 blade (no guard) on the toddler. And various blades and guards on the boys with bowl cuts. I have always wondered about this.
Loved this chat! Good information
I'm surprised that Kevin Mann(Haircafe) didn't try and smash this convo to pieces.
Kevin is brutal to Rob and it has created some undue hostility toward Rob. The crazy thing is that they agree 98% of the time. Kevin just harps on the 2%. If you read the comments on Kevin's channel there are a lot of thanks to him for recommending Rx.
I'd love to see them just have a conversation (with me hosting it ; )
@@dradamfields what I don't understand is why Kevin has to be against a more holistic and or natural way of treating hairloss. I bet you that he thinks cancer is a genetic disease and not metabolic as Professor Thomas Seyfried states in his clinical trials.

This was another amazing conversation. But also very disheartening about hair transplants, just 8 weeks after I had mine. I thought thats for life.
Fascinating, and very informative. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for listening.

TY!
Hi rob your remedy work only on men or as well as women also i m facing hair loss to much hair thining .no hair growth please help me
Hi Avani, I'm old and also had my hair falling out in handfuls every day for months.
Try proper Scalp massaging..... Headstand or inversion method..eat nutritional foods
Hi Adam, thanks for these 2 great interviews with Rob. You both mentioned you would share a link to the video of Rob demonstrating the scalp massage. I can't see the link in the video description? Can you please direct me to it? Thank you.
This was a great conversation. Very informative. Thank you to everyone involved.

Aren’t any otc micro needling devices still not the best because the angle in which the needles enter the skin, causing longer tears? If you go to a professional, the needles go straight up and down into the skin for a clean puncture.

The first year of the pandemic hair loss was a sudden epidemic too-in America they called it the great American fallout. Stress.
Kinda funny but not. Stress can lead to some gray hair, also.
My head hair turned all gray but the hair I transplanted to my chest never turned gray, going on 10 years.. no gray.

Don’t add baking suds to shampoo please don’t….. it will damage your scalp your hair texture can change too
What happens when you take donor hair from a the top and move it to the back where you normally get the donor hair. Will it now live longer
Interesting question, Tara. That might be one for Rob English.
Remembering the nanny of my daughter’s mom the hair so dark and on her 80’ asked her why like that and said always put virgin coconut oil on her hair 🇸🇽🇺🇸
What’s your thoughts on acupuncture for hair loss?
There is some research on it and it looks somewhat promising. Would have been a good question for me to ask Rob.

Wonderful informative video. I especially loved the very end of the video about ❤people in our world 👏🏾👏🏾🙏🏾
I really enjoyed your collaborations with Rob, a lot of interesting and helpful information. It's a treat to know we are all working together to find solutions.
Yes, it's beyond fun working with such amazing people!
How about blocking DHT with flaxseed lignans? Works in cases of prostate hyperplasia too!
In my case, Flaxseed is vey estrogenic.
Tiny red lights are very expensive. Any effective yet less costly products?
Yes, that is what my podcasts with Rob and my "how I grew my hair back" video are about. Great low to no-cost tips
I found some of my hair that is white at the bottom but turned dark brown (my original hair colour). Why is that? Am I having deficiency in certain vitamins etc. that causes greying since some hairs turned dark again. 🤔
Has your diet changed?
Look into Copper or Protein deficiencies.

Am I doomed?
( Monoxidyl allergy, accompanied by, swollen, burning, red raised scalp reaction even for the lowest amount of product. ) very sad about this whole thing.
No, not doomed. I know nothing but take a good prenatal to restore your vitamins and an amino acid complex. Eat moringa fresh as amino acid complex. As I read your cells need food to fight the c and may just need replenishment and it could be just one nutrient they are lacking. For the prenatal get health food store kind with Brussel sprouts and 20 other ect greens.
Do we need to oil when massaging the scalp?
Hi Jeston, Nope, not needed. I sometimes use Black Seed Oil though

Dr Fields, would you mind if I start with a questions on behalf of my partner. He has been diagnosed with cervical dystonia with tremors. Doctors here are treating it with Botox injections in neck in every a few months. I promised to my partner I will ask you, whether there is something else you would suggest for him to do to sort it. If there is not much he can do, that is alright too, I just thought to check it with you. *Many thanks for your great work to all of us.*
HI IC, Sorry for the delay. Please get to a chiropractor ASAP. Also, there can be a myofascial trigger point component. These are very susceptible to stress. Getting him to calm down and participating in stress relieving activities like, yoga, nature, prayer and things that don't involve too much thought are key. Find a therapist that does trigger point therapy or a doctor who does trigger point injections.
