  • Fall camping in Sharbot Lake Provincial Park is amazing! The call of the loons in the middle of night is out of this world experience:) The Ridge hiking trail is highly recommended when visiting the park, it gives the best view of Sharbot Lake and much needed solitude for city dwellers. Booked campsite #175, it is away from all the amenities, and highway traffic is audible at night (something to consider if you are a light sleeper). But already, can’t wait to be back in the summer!

Real voice content would have been better than just silly music and pictures.

Great video, absolutely loved it. Just a quick question, you said that the highway traffic was audible from the site. From the maps, I see that this site is the furthest away from the highway so I am assuming that the other sites will be even worst? Also, can you get to the water from this site? Just thinking that if you are able to get in the water for fishing from the site? Thank you.

Yes, it is audible from this site, even though it looks far away from the high way on the map, (as sound travels through water, it seems). You can go down the ravine, some areas are steep but manageable. The campsites near the high way are even worst, as you guessed (we stopped by on site 14 as we were waiting for our campsite to be vacated, and it was like you'll be ran over by a car, as it is that close!). However when we walked through beachfront campground 1-8, they are the best spots in the campground away from the crowd, (1 & 6 are the best IMO good privacy), I didn't really hear the traffic while walking, perhaps I wasn’t paying attention. Campsite #57 is good as well, where we stayed at recently, right by the water, good privacy, but a short steep walk down to the campsite from where we parked our car. We were able to hear traffic as well from this site, but the view is just amazing!

Awesome! The best campsite in my opinion 👍🏼, I heard it’s hard to book thru Ontario Parks when they opened.
