In this video we share digging a 200' trench with the Kubota BX to replace our entire main water line! Hisea Mud Boots: bit.ly/3D7Fnuy Use code: PEAK for 15% off!!!
Good digging....that was a straight trench, Lucas! 👍 I was feeling you on the bucket scrape with the shovel. The mini still has clay stuck in the bucket from digging this summer!
I helped a neighbor dig up a waterline this week. With my backhoe where it’s 3 point mounted you can’t advance yourself forward without getting on and off. It’s a slow go. You had a lot of digging to do. Enjoyed the video!
@@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead Trying to bear the weather is really stressful. I went through the same thing with the grading and garage build. I hope the rain didn't mess you up to bad.
Work is work when something needs fixed immediately. Even if you're having fun, it isn't always convenient timing. Good video, though! Keep up the great work and God bless!
Yeah, I was a little overwhelmed in the beginning and could have done a few things smarter, but it got done and I sure am thankful for the Kubota! Hope you are doing well, my friend!
That backhoe does a great job. I love my little BX 23S. I live here in North Carolina Lucas and the rains coming in for us today. I look forward to seeing you finish the great job that you’re doing. Another great video!👍🏻
I’m literally amazed that you didn’t run into any big rocks ! I do construction on the side and whenever we dig we always run into a huge rock that we have to switch to the Hammer attachment on the backhoe to break it up! Consider yourself lucky! 😊
Lucas: I thought that you were on a well there? Ross Of the Land is digging a water line trench as well. He had to stop because it snowed. Take care and stay safe.
Uhggg, i feel for ya brother, been there an had to do that before, and what a nightmare. Luckily, you can be down 2ft an be safe. We have to dig 4ft + just to keep the water lines from freezing where i live, and we`re all mainly rock here. It is a nightmare to say the least when we have to dig. When i put our last water main in for our home, i put it inside schedule 80 pipe from the well to the house. That way if anything happens, like freezing up, or it breaks, i can just send heat down the pipe to unthaw it, and if its broken, i can slide out the old water pipe, shove a knew one down into it to the well house and hook it up. Thankfully, my water line is only 50 to 60 feet from our backdoor. Hope you get yours in soon brother. And that rain y`all got comin, yikes!
Yeah, I thought about my up north friends as I was digging! Ross (on the Land) was digging a line for a spigot and he said 4’+. I was thinking that would add a significant amount of work! I was also fortunate enough to only hit smaller rocks so it really went great.

Thanks! I didn’t have to clean the bucket out too much, but it was still a pain!

Good job helping out your neighbor! Having a backhoe sure is handy!
Man, that tractor has done you well, paid for itself a long time ago I think. Really good video and a nice looking trench.
Thanks, Buddy! I agree, the BX was for sure the move. 👍
Nice backhoe work! That looked like a lot of fun! $400 water bill isn't cool though. I'm excited to see you finish this up. Nice work!
Thanks, Bud! It really was fun…a little stressful, but mostly fun.

Hey congrats coming up on 5k subscribers man! 🙏
Thank you! We are excited about our growth. Congratulations to you all for breaking 100k. That is amazing!

Thanks, Man! Hopefully you avoid any damaging winds and tornados. 🌪️ I guess this storm left a mess in Texas. 🙏🏻
@@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead Yes, I know what you mean I feel real bad for those people in Texas. We are not supposed to get a lot of wind with the rain.

Man, I know! I kept thinking I would. The biggest rock I hit was maybe a foot by 2 feet and it was no big deal….
When u dig across a gravel driveway
Scape off gravel first…so u can respect clean when finished
Good suggestion! Thanks!
That Kubota sure is handy. Nice work!
It sure is! Thank you!
I cant wait to see a video of that shiny red thing I seen in the back of your truck the other day!
Oh man! I’ll get some footage at some point. It’s pretty killer!
i hope the pipe is not floating after the rain. Backfill the ditch with some dirt
love how easy the kubota digs a ditch
Thanks! I will share the rest of the story next Tuesday, but yeah, the Kubota is an absolute lifesaver! Made the job so easy!
Now that's a big water bill !! Good video!! God Bless!!
Yeah, that was a shock! The water company is helping us out with an adjustment though. 👍 Thanks for watching!
@@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead Yes sir your welcome!!

Nope Piney Grove Homestead is on a well. He calls me Peek’s Peak CityStead because we are in city water. 😂 I saw Ross working on his dig…
I only have an acre but my house is 200 years old so I’m sure I’ll be able to put it to use. Colvert first
I hope you didn’t get too much rain, I’ll see on the next one 😉👍🏻🙋🏼♂️
Thanks, Luc! I’m torn…I want lots of rain for the pond, but I don’t want the mud it brings! 😂. Have a great week!

Very nice digging, looks like you have done that a time or two.
Thank you! The BX makes it pretty easy!
About 9 more days and we start getting longer days .. it seems like its dark shorty afternoon !!!!
I am looking forward to longer days! It is so hard to get anything done after work!
Nice Vid
Thank you!
