- Alright folks! There are lots of places to fish for salmon in the lower mainland. I went and tried a new spot for salmon. Unfortunately, there were nasty needles around, but I managed to hook some fish. I had a pretty successful salmon season in Vancouver. Caught some good chum and coho. Inline spinners, like rooster tails can be very effective.

About Bottles Longwood:
I love fishing for big bass, sturgeon, trout, and salmon, down to small panfish, like crappie and bluegill or pumpkinseed sunfish. Monster fish are great, but the little ones are still fun too. I fish mostly in the lower mainland; around the Vancouver area in BC. When I first started to get back into fishing I spent a lot of time at Deer Lake in Burnaby. I believe that's where I first started bass fishing. I've recently gotten back in to hunting as well.
I don't claim to be a good fisherman, but I love to do it.

I'm surprised he was fishing beneath the bridge. That area is technically tidal.

Thats awesome. I wish we had big salmon close by. We have smaller landlocked, and Atlantic salmon that we can't fish for. Closed it Lake Ontario, which is 11 hrs away.

I've never caught a salmon before! There aren't any around where I love but I want to travel someday and target them they look like great fun. They are basically like a giant trout right? Gotta love those rooster tails ROOSTER TAILS haha that slowmo bit cracked me up
They're lots of fun!! They're similar to trout in a number of ways, but salmon taste better in my opinion! Rooster Tails are one of my go to lures for trout and salmon!! Glad you enjoyed the video!
