Hi, great video! I have recently started watching your videos as I have been thinking to try fishing. I have tried fishing only a couple times, but know very little about the whole fishing world. I don’t have any equipment but want to get an entry level set. I was wondering if I could tag along with you if you ever go fishing in Lower Mainland area. I moved to Vancouver 2 years ago and do not know anyone to go out fishing with. Just want to see how you fish and I learn. Thanks
It's good stuff, but I recommend putting another set of stoppers under the sink. It avoids losing the sink when the swivel doesn't hold the snag, + it will not pollute the river with lead.
Hi, thanks for the comment! I normally use 20-23g weight, it will say it on the label. And the distance really depends on the water depth. Find the bottom and pull it 1ft up
I have a question regarding this summer 2024. Last year was my first year here in Chilliwack, there was fishier all over the place, I had a hard time finding a spot to fish and I caugth 9 salmons. This year, I am always alone, no fisher are fishing and I caugth 0 salmon. What the hell is going on this year??
Nice video. Not a bait slinger myself but like bottom bouncing with home-made slinky weights and a spin-n-glo on a #4 hook with a couple colours of wool in the bait loop. Can change weights in seconds for different runs. Pro tip: shot of WD-40 on the wool. Works great and I've fished the Chilliwack/Vedder for over 60 years tho only a few times in the last 20 years as I live in northern Alberta now. Fly rod first then switch to the bait caster if they're not hitting the fly.
Hey bro, The rod that you introduced was Titan trophy XL 10’6” power 2. Just curious that the handle part looks a bit different in 1:38 ? You have two different rods? One has blue handle but one in 1:38 shows black handle? What’s the difference?
@@Go2fishingbc Thanks! I like how the 2 power felt much more sensitive than the 3 power in the tackle shop. Just wanted to make sure a 2 power wouldn't blow up if I got an oversized chum
Hi! You normally want to go less with leader than your main. I always use 12lb leader. It will work but you may lose the whole setup if it gets snagged
Good Job with the video man, I’ve taken notes from this video so let’s giver a go Also can you make a video on how to find or figure out the strike zone for fishing
Heya if the leader is 12lb, is 15lb mainline okay? Is 3lb strength difference sufficient to break off the leader? Or is that cutting it too close hence your 20lb mainline?
I am from Quebec. I Applied all your advices and today I caugth 3 salmon :) thank you very much!
That makes me happy! I’m glad :)
@@Go2fishingbc all of them in the vedder river. I think they are Chinook.
Thanks for such a helpful and informative video. You've answered almost all the questions I had.
Awesome! Glad I could help
Awesome video! Super helpful. Going to try my hand at the Fraser in 2 weeks. Supposed to be nuts.
Thanks a lot for your video, I was waiting for the set-up.
keep it up!
Thanks! Goodluck out there
Coming from a new fisherman very helpful. Thanks a lot

Great video man, think I saw you the other day on the river. Nice to see the channel
Thanks man! Come say hi, I don’t quite remember haha

Good call!
Great vid n tips! What weight did u use w the 25g float? Or any of ur floats .... Does distance matter between top float stop and end of mainline?
I usually use a 1oz weight for a 25g float and works really well

This!
Cool video. Very well explained and done!
Glad it helped!
Nice video see you out there maybe. One thing about the vedder it’s way too crowded for me.
Thank you, definitely a busy river forsure
I have the same set up with islander steelhead (gold) rod is perfect ..landed a big spring the other day and a koho
Nice! It’s a great all around rod forsure
Thank you for the informative video !
Good job man thanks for the info
Thanks for checking out!
Really helpful and easy explained video , thanks buddy
Thanks! Appreciate it
Thanks :)
@@Go2fishingbc Thank you very mutch... have a nice Weekend.... see you….

You have two different rods? One has blue handle but one in 1:38 shows black handle?
What’s the difference?
The blue one is more expensive. Black handle is a entry level
Really appreciate this video. Really good.
Great content sir!!!
Thank you!
Where did you get the clear drift soft bead? I couldn't find it in either Fred's or Cabela's.
You can order online or pacific river outfitting company
@@Go2fishingbc thank you
Would you reccomend a 2 power or 3 power for fishing chinook, coho and chum?
Power 2! More than enough. Landed lots of springs and chums. So coho will be easy
@@Go2fishingbc Thanks! I like how the 2 power felt much more sensitive than the 3 power in the tackle shop. Just wanted to make sure a 2 power wouldn't blow up if I got an oversized chum
@@rbrod you will be more than good enough. Personally I think power is too heavy and overkill
Great video! I'm set up the same.👍
Well done video. Good job.
Thanks! Appreciate it
Could've sworn when I watched this last year you said 3.5 to 8 feet max. Explains all the looks I was getting
Wrong person. Never said that in any of my videos
@Go2fishingbc lmaoo I'm just playing bro 😂 appreciate the emphasis you put on avoiding flossing
New sub! Liked 🙏❤️👍☺️🙂
Would love to learn some fishing with you. If you are fishing this season at veddar let me know.
Thank you!
Hi pal, ya think 14lb braid and my 17lb leader line is good enough?
Hi! You normally want to go less with leader than your main. I always use 12lb leader. It will work but you may lose the whole setup if it gets snagged
@@Go2fishingbc ok thank you so much. And also where exactly in vedder has lots of coho?
Thanks for video very helpful
Good Job with the video man, I’ve taken notes from this video so let’s giver a go
Also can you make a video on how to find or figure out the strike zone for fishing
Thank you! Good luck out there. I will try to, they are mostly at deep pools right now and shady spots
Heya if the leader is 12lb, is 15lb mainline okay? Is 3lb strength difference sufficient to break off the leader? Or is that cutting it too close hence your 20lb mainline?
15lb ultra green mono for main and 12lb seagur fluorocarbon is perfect
What kind of weights are those? I can’t find anything like it online. The ones I have kinda suck because you have to tie them onto the line.
Oh and also what size are those barrel swivels?
It’s just lead weight, it’s everywhere in any tackle store. 1/4oz ones. Size #7 swivels
at 7:30 what kind of beads are those? and where can i buy them???
It’s mostly likely bnr beads 12mm clown beads. You can buy at Fred’s or pacific outfitters in chilliwack
I love My okuma aventa centerpin reel
That’s a good reel! Nice startup
@@Go2fishingbc it's set on a blood run skien cane
Where is that spot
The most crowded and chaotic spot lol everyone knows
Do you where exactly where it is i am new to vedder fishing
As a matter of fact it's the worse season possible 🤡
Don’t give up yet!
