    About the One Consideration.... You can take out the Kick using its volume knob - then the side chaining effect remains.
    Also, you can do the same thing in other instances with side chain (I for example use Ableton, you can side chain from a kick pre mixer, then the kick mute won't mute the side chain signal) - it depends on where the side chain signal is taken from (before or after the mute/volume knob)

    This is the one compact synth that needs two outputs more than anything I’ve ever owned. For only having it 3 days I’m loving it and to my surprise there is an overdrive effect, so the acid sound is pretty dang complete

    • @LiamKillen

      Top tip - use the overdrive lvl in the menus when adjusting the volume/mix. That way you can keep full distortion from zero to max volume (using the rotary knob)
      Does it make sense? :)

    • @mylarmelodies
      @mylarmelodies 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Late to the party to say it does have two outputs - you can pan individual voices hard left, the other things hard right, then use a stereo to dual mono splitter cable and a mixer ;)

    Hey Liam! Awesome video!!
    Quick question - I noticed you have a Roland boutique in your setup too. How do you link the two devices? Will the sync out work with the click in of a boutique? Could you potentially link more than two devices (as each compact has an in an out?)

      It's much more specific than both of those drum machines. Because of the drum selection, which you can't change, as well as the 303, I owuld consider it an acid machine more than anything. The impact is also pretty specific and so is the Drumlogue- but I would say that both of these are more versatile.

    Yes they could change it just with a software change. They could make the out to sidechain be pre fader and pre mute. It's a simple change that would fix it. Once you have the amount of side chain dialed in it wouldn't matter what you did with the volume or mute button. It would always go to the side chain. Super simple. Hint hint Roland!
