bakugo spent his whole life thinking he's the guy and now thinks deku was messing with him the entire time looking down on him his entire life, maybe thinks everyone was looking down on him. his desperation to prove he's strong gets a little wild. he's just a lil insecure but his character is so good

I didn't actually start liking Bakugo until after what happens in season 6. He's still insecure af, but you learn a little more about why he directed it at Deku.
@@CEBanks i don’t know when I started liking him. I stopped watching MHA for a couple years, then rewatched it again just recently and suddenly Bakugo is my favorite. His yelling used to annoy me so much and now I love it??????
The word "Deku" can be interpreted as "I tried" or "tried" so from a normal perspective like Bakugo can be said that "you can't do it" or "couldn't do it". But from a more positive/optimistic side like Uraraka (the nice girl) interpreted it as something as "could" or "will try to", refering to "someone who will do it" no matter what. _I think_

To be exact, saying "Dekiru", which is "You can do it!", in the accent of where Ochako is from, it sounds like saying "Dek'u". Since she has always seen him in a positive light, that's where her mind went to on hearing it. For Bakugo, who (at this point) hates Izuku, it means and always has meant "useless".
I think thats the best way to explain it to non japanese speakers

Hero is just another kind of job in this world, but it's like a celebrity type of job but been funded by government. Bcuz their duty to save people and bring peace to the society, hence the more a hero take down the criminals and villains, they bring more peace to people,hence all might were known as no 1 hero and symbol of peace, due to how he able to take down many villain and criminal in short time. Basically, their salary is based on their hero performance work.To become a proper and official hero, they do need follow the necessary requirements hence there's school that provide hero courses like UA.
You're a bit wrong here mostly right tho allmight isn't number 1 just because he's the strongest popularity has A LOT to with it along with approval ratings stopping crime is just one way to gain popularity it's actually super important to the story endeavor has the record for most crimes solved but can't hold a candle to allmight because of allmights unmatched charisma

The way I see it, Deku confessed all that to Kacchan because he felt he "owed" it to him. He's spent his whole life being told he's below everyone else, especially Kacchan. And he's kinda bought into that too, given how he still thinks Kacchan is "amazing" and didn't seem to try to train to be a hero before he got validation from All Might. So when he heard that someone he looked up to thought he tricked him, his earnest little self-deprecating heart couldn't stand it and had to set the record straight. Like, "no Kacchan, see? You are better than me! I wouldn't trick you, I swear!"

I really like MHA because the world and society is so interesting to me as you can view and discuss it in multiple perspectives; especially with the quirks as all of them are really unique even the odd ones you see at the beginning of the series.
I think I would also just be writing (more like typing) analysis-es on the quirks if I was in that world; I have really bad handwriting.

Speaking of Bakugo, I agree with @moonchild_brooding rant and description of Bakugo. Bakugo has a rough beginning in the story (in terms of how he’s perceived by the audience) with just terrible actions and behavior BUT (and I am NOT saying this to excuse said actions) he is/was a child now adolescent who was “kinda” (there are many factors and potential factors) pushed by society to have certain views and mindset and no one really corrected or tried to correct his behavior/attitude? Also, there are theories about his quirk (which might or might not have been debunked already) that mention his quirk having an influence on his behavior, just as additional discussion tib-bits? I may be a fan and enthusiast about this anime but my knowledge and up-to-dateness on the day-to-day discussions may be dicey or somewhat inaccurate depending on people’s perspectives though generally my comments are more of opinions/rants/bubbly discussions.
So I’ll probably leave the deeply hard-core analyses to my fellow commenters but maybe contribute or like if I’m intrigued; otherwise, I’ll pop in now and again some other times to casually comment~

Bakugo is a very interesting character, I’m glad you guys noticed that even though he definitely has a villains mentality he took the day (relatively) well. He’s not upset that everybody shit on him, he’s mad because they’re RIGHT, and that he recognizes his own flaws. And his relationship with Deku is a huge part of the show because yeah Deku didn’t owe Bakugo anything, but he felt like he did.

Deku and Kacchan are two sides of the same coin,they both have what the other one lacks.
A lot of people struggle to understand why Izuku thinks about Bakugou the way he does,he sees in Bakugou everything he lacks and desires and this is shown and verbally demonstrated,Bakugou has a cool quirk,confidence to pursue his goals no matter whos or whats in the way,strenght,great physical capabilities,great reflexes and instincs,being able to act more instead of drowning himself with negative thoughts,even all might scolds Izuku for being so negative about everything he achieves,so yeah,Bakugou at this point has a big ego and hates being understimated because he thinks hes the best and has to be the best,otherwise hes worthless and will never achieve his goals, but he has everything to feel so good about himself,hes very talented,dude got first place on the entrance exam,at first he comes across as the generic shonen anime bully/rival,but even in season 1 he starts showing little changes that will become even more clear as the show goes on,its what made me give him a chance and i dont regret it.

I don't know how Bakugo didn't get expelled from the hero program right here. Dude openly admitted he was trying to ki11 a fellow classmate, in front of everyone, then literally tried to do so more than once. And they let him keep going. If it was someone other than Deku, Bakugo may have actually succeeded.

To be fair too, mhas author has bad shoulder issues, one of the recent manga chapters he said he felt like his arm was falling off. I think the sad thing is that the characters that do get developed are developed so fucking well that you just wish the author didn't bite off more than he can chew by making so many fucking characters
