- In the twelfth episode of The Expanse season 2, Naomi attempts to save as many people as she can off Ganymede. Holden continues to chase down the Protomolecule hybrid. Chrisjen and Bobbie go to meet with Jules.

This episode never fails to make me tear up. RIP Champa
This is really one of the most memorable episodes, probably in everyone's top five. "Scene 52" never fails to pulls tears from me, and I'm an old man. Belters continually live on the edge of catastrophe. I'm sure every Belter knows someone, or knows of someone, who has been forced to make hard decisions to allow others to live.
This is also where "Team ABC" comes together, as on the way to Mao's yacht Avasarala reveals her fears, Cotyar reveals his guilt, and Bobbie finds a new team to devote herself to.
"Is he going to kill himself?" Everyone wonders that...a good bit of misdirection by the writers. Then he totally flips the script. But when you rewatch the situation, you can figure it out. I think Errinwright had the plan to do away with the Martian defense minister and gain control of the Protomolecule program before he learned that Avasarala was meeting Mao. But since Avasarala was the only one who knew of his involvement with Mao in the first place, he immediately saw the opportunity to get rid of her in the same stroke. The poison was on the theater program.
I noticed that as the Somnambulist was launching and being challenged by the Martians, Naomi was checking on her hidden Protomolecule torpedo on her screen. Why?
Also, you did notice something was clinging to to the Roci at the very end.

9:20 Say hello to Champa. He does not seem much of a good guy, but he will be to me the greatest hero of The Expanse.
14:22 While it seems a bargain of self interest, Champa is fulfilling his end and showing the best of what Belters can be.
14:52 Say goodbye to Champa, the greatest hero of The Expanse and shortest character arc. He fulfilled the bargain but trades places with Naomi anyways knowing that choice will kill him. I cry every time I see this episode.
You know, I’ve not thought much about that character since his story arc is so short but you’re right, Champa is under appreciated. He did a very heroic, honorable, and selfless deed.
The book showcased how the logistics on Ganymede while it was failing was so messed up. Tons of ships with relief supplies could not find docks to land on because they were taken up by ships loading food that had been produced on Ganymede. Different orders from different people being shipped different places.
Those refugee scenes were tense. Has me all stressed everytime I watch them.
Most heartbreaking episode evah! Beltalowdah!!
