People keep talking of "using the protomolecule." The scene in which the Arboghast was not just stripped down to components, but rendered so instantaneously, a feat no human agency could possibly perform, stands as proof positive that the protomolecule operates on a level the human mind can't even comprehend. No one really uses the protomolecule; the protomolecule uses them.

Technically speaking, the ship wasn’t obliterated..It was disassembled.

8:42 Negotiate? 🤦🏻‍♂️ Riiiiggghhht 😏 This episode serves a few purposes. First it serves to show the inhumanity of these creatures. If there is a cure, how do you even capture one beforehand? If there is no cure, the horror of snuffing out the lives of children and then the terror of the resulting monster. Also, it shows the despair and wisdom of Prax as he comes to terms with what he must do if Mei is infected. The Prax/Amos bromance continues.

The Protomolecule hybrid creature pulled an explosive failsafe device out of its chest. If you recall, when we saw the other hybrid looming over Bobbie, the drone hovered over it and we saw a red light flash on the drone. Then something began to glow in the hybrid's chest. Bobbie turned away just as it exploded. But this hybrid already knew it had a bomb in its chest.
Okay, that elevator that just happened to stop in time was a bit tropey.
That extra nuclear warhead they had laying around in the Roci was the one they had pulled from the torpedo they put the Protomolecule sample into.
Amos told Naomi that he was still unable to make the correct choices for himself. Remember when it looked like they would die on the Donnager, he thanked Naomi for helping him, and here he also thanks Holden. You may also remember back when Amos was talking to Miller in the bar, he said that Holden's decisions were more likely to right than his own, and he called Holden, "The most righteous person our here."
When Naomi said "No one is always right," she was probably talking about herself. Did you notice: When the Somnambulist was lifting off Ganymede and being challenged by the Martians, Naomi was checking out her hidden Protomolecule torpedo. I think that was when she was sending the coordinates to Fred Johnson.
In the very last scene, they provided enough information to know where Strickland was with Mei. I had to do some Googling of space images to be sure, though.

When the elevator stopped just short of Bobbie, for some reason I couldn't help thinking an insipid female-register computer voice was about to say, "Good for you, sergeant! You've decided to clean the elevator."

    Great reaction and analysis!
Naomi is wrong, Jules Per Mao has it and now Fred Johnson has it, that's it Mars and Earth do not!
Can't wait for the next one!

Mao is obligated to Errinwright, however, and Errinwright will use it for Earth. Naomi doesn't know that, but it's not unusual in this series for what the characters think they know to be wrong.

@@jamesholland5761 As far as I can tell, Mao represents Earth's primary capability to experiment with the Protomolecule anyway. There doesn't appear to be the equivalent of a "NASA" or a "European Space Agency." Just private enterprise.

Book 1 spoilers (so S2E5 "spoiler")
It's a little frustrating that they turned the protomolecule sample into a betrayal of trust by Naomi, since that's not who Naomi is. Sure, she's hiding stuff about her past, but we haven't seen her be dishonest to the people she cares about. In the book, the protomolecule sample was given to Fred in the middle of the Eros incident, so much much earlier. Holden willingly gave it to Fred in exchange for Fred following Miller's plan and diverting Earth's missiles away from Eros.
