Converting a classic Mini to electric power: Part 1

Sustainability has always been hugely important to us. Our goal is ambitious but simple: to operate the world's first-ever commercial fleet of zero-emission classic cars.
We have partnered with classic car restoration specialists Classic Dreamworks and electric classic car conversion specialists Electrogenic and chosen our 1994 Mini Cooper, Rosie, to be the first in our fleet to be converted to 100% electric!
Tom and Rob headed over to the scBC HQ to get Rosie loaded up and onto a trailer to start her journey. The first stop is Classic Dreamworks to have a full-body restoration including; panels to be replaced, removing her old sunroof, interior and engine bay strip down ahead of the conversion. She will be fitted with a brand new sunroof and interior further down the line. The body will then undergo a full re-spray to make her look even better than when she rolled off the production line in 1994.

Sad that you need to do this, lots of the character comes from the engine! But you don't really have any choice, i can see that, and at least it keeps classic minis on the streets in London

As the owner of a 1963 mini cooper I believe you are going to lose the soul, the noise and smell of the iconic classic mini just to please Sadiq Khan. Sell your fleet to classic car enthusiasts who will preserve them and prevent this sabotage !
