I order them from eBay mostly but you can buy them direct from Smoothdrag.com! I really appreciate the kind words, teaching people more about the sport Is a big passion of mine.
just got my order in the mail from smoothdrag all the way to Canada! Upgrading both my Daiwa reels. Its incredible how cheap the felt pads are...shameful that Daiwa uses these. My Abu Garcia uses carbon washers already. An upgrade that basically costs almost nothing.
Great question! Answer.. it depends. Be wary of switching them out on your baitcasters because of the very reason you mention… your reel may not close up all the way because of the thicker carbontex.
@@sohobassguy3749 every reel I have it getting the treatment with the Carbontex, I’m about to order some now and get ready for the spring! Thanks for the helpful information.
They make a difference. I hooked a 30lb carp the other day and the drag came off the reel so smoothly protecting my light 4lb line! Definitely worth the investment in my opinion, 1 big fish in a tournament that I don’t loose because of the drag pays for them 10 fold. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Never quit making videos man! Also did you order these or???

Awesome tip. I didn't even know about those. Thanks 👊
No problem bud! They aren’t a gimmick they really do improve a drag 10 fold!
Super good and easy upgrade 🤙🤙
How about the thickness of the carbontex?it's same thickness with original felt drag?
Yes, if you order the correct carbontex washer for your specific model of reel it will fit and work great.

What kind of grease you use
Hi, do they sell the carbontex washer for the size shimano vanford 2000HG? Please let me know where I can get them.
You can buy a sheet and cut your own
How much are the carbon tech drag washers?
They are not very expensive for most reels its around $10.
I order carbon fibre sheets and cut my own washers they are about 25 bucks
That’s awesome! That sounds like a good plan.
