Planet Zoo is nearly a Zoo Tycoon sequel, a Zoo Tycoon 2019 game. A wildlife game, zoo game and animal game and soon we'll be adding Planet Zoo gameplay.

My only recommendations for the inside part: definitely education boards! Also a few conifer trees on the inside, and maybe a wall mural on the inside and that plain outside wall to spice it up.
That is genius, I love that - even just looking at the thumbnail. That idea is totally gonna get stolen by me (not that anyone would care about me).
Also, making the outside of the wolf side entrance a tunnel would block the sunlight which would help the way it looks during the day.
Also also, if you sink a light rod at the right angle to go into the wall I think that'll make a better trail for your shooting star.
Like the light rod idea, I'll definitely give that a go.
Oops, posted a comment that said the same about the entrances. But, this would work by: making a covered passage in for both guests and wolves, then having it bend so light wouldn't filter in as easily; it'd have to bend around a corner.

Add benches definitely, educational boards a must. Love the build.
I personally think that after you finish your wolf exhibit, you should work on either that little side pond by the bridge, maybe put in some lights, a little campsite, etc. Then again, it's your zoo/park! You've done an amazing job! I love all your vids! You and James (TheGamingBeaver) are honestly the best youtubers on TH-cam because of your humor and laid back vids! Again, if you see this, thanks! When at the point that you do the arctic wolves, it would be a good idea to do the same kinda idea again, but larger and figure out a way to do an Aurora Borealis! An arctic house with an Aurora would be pretty cool. Also I have a question. When will we see another episode in the old Brazil Quarry? I was really enjoying the campaign series! Love Planet zoo! Cant wait for the future!
Yup! We're going to finish the arctic campaign first that's all. It should go by much quicker now that I'm back home
I'm eagerly waiting on the return to the basegame campaigns too! I love playing those myself and I'm curious to see BestInSlot's take on them
I think you should build a little camp site or something with tents or cabins and a bonfire. Maybe even make it an exhibit and they animals had invaded the camp?

Stars on the inside all over like a planetarium! Rocks and trees and plants inside like your in a full forest!
The thumbnail was what caught my interest to watch your series and I'm glad I did. I love all the thought that goes into each piece. Also for the blank roof, you could make a roof garden or green roofs. Green roof typically go on large non-public rooftops that include more low grown vegetation. It also helps reduce the rainfall and flooding of cities/urban areas by the plants just absorbing the water. Thought it would fit into your theme of modern but ecofriendly. Keep up the good work!

This looks so great. The meticulous way you plan things and work according to design themes really makes you one of my favorite people to watch play this game, you come up with fantastic stuff.
I love what you did with the planetarium, it reminds me of how there are "meet the animal" areas in zoos where the animal ambassadors come out and the keepers discuss conservation to the public.
I love it! For the roof perhaps you could add some kind of water feature? Maybe some upside down v shaped dividers down the middle which funnel water off to the sides... and then the water can fall down between the double roof in the front. Thought it might work nicely with the rest of the falling water on other buildings... Have a lovely New Years Eve eve!
You can "choose grid" for the path, and if you click on the building while choosing grid, the path will fit inside the building perfectly- Then you can connect the path form the outside, and it'll look a lot smoother without that jagged corner.

And, once again, a suggestion...the sculpture at the start of the park (your 3 boxes) REALLY needs to be a fountain. Just put some water jets under it (preferably on random timers), and it will really give it that little bit of pop that's missing there.
For the roof structure, you could always use the glass paneling to kind of break up the monotony of the base colors and/or add ivy or something. For the inside, you could always do black display walls behind the windows with lights and accents etc... just a few ideas that came to mind while watching the video. Great video and builds by the way!!! I love playing this game and "trying" to build. I just never have the time to actually build anything, so I just end up watching you guys on YT and downloading off steam.
You could always do a large skylight on the roof to view the stars at night.... just a thought...and have a raised platform of glass panels for an interesting texture.
Loving the build so far. Can’t help but think that the Timber Wolves might be able to jump over that fence tho!
Also, if it’s a sleeping area, then maybe a wall in the middle of the viewing area to block off the windows/ entrance, and add to the wow factor of the starscape!

For that wolf enclosure, I think a little Red Riding Hood enclosure would be really awesome. You could have a wooded area with a den hidden in the back and you could put in Granny's cottage house.

Beautiful park so far!!! I’m absolutely in love with it and enjoying seeing each section come to life. I think the concept for the night sky was genius and it’s starting to come together. For the outside roof I was wondering if adding a unique feature down the middle of the roof that runs the length, going up to the top could break the solid shape of the roof but also to add interest as guests are walking down the path and look up towards the building. I wonder if you can create something interesting in glass or using that bronze metal shape, it could create a focal point to the building and blend in more with the rest of the modern look of the zoo.
I feel like making a big dome with the stars on the ceiling.
If you sink some of the stars into the wall you could make some smaller stars, which would vary it up nicely. Also I like the black wall idea, maybe the ceiling too.
I love the way it looks, it reminds me of the educational theater in my local zoo's nocturnal animal house. :D
What zoo?
For the actual habitat we can have two parts- the Timber Wolf area and the Arctic Wolf area. The idea is make a village in the habitat in a way.
For the Timber Wolf area you make a forest with treehouses, in which you put the exhibit animals and then gradually bring the houses to the ground. Once it reaches the ground you can make a village of some sort that goes with the story of Balto, which was half Wolf, this side would have the village and the forest combined and then once again another thicket of forest with the Arctic Wolves. Then in the village you can make a story board with a new version of the story of Balto but one that goes with the history of BlackRock. Then have the Reindeers in the forests as well.
The Constellation room reminds me a lot of the moon. And there’s a place in California in the United States called the Valley of the Moon. It’s this scrubland area that has a number of interesting rock spires and cliffs that might be worth taking inspiration from for the outdoor section of the wolf exhibit.
For the arctic animals, you could make the "Black rock Mountain pass." A mountain that obscures the sight line of the two halves of the park, one snowy, one not. You could also play around with the history of the park adding a gold or silver mine or something that made people want to take the place from the natives, even going as far as building an old mining town by the pass.

A few ideas 💡
- a smaller fence in front of the habitat fence inside. To keep quests from touching the glass/get bitten through the fence.
- a wolf tunnel to the inside. Will keep the outside light away.
Maybe you can incorporate a tunnel for the quests too? Then it will always be dark on the inside, not just at night.
- smaller stars between the ones you’ve put in. Makes it look a lot better.
- the be quiet sign. It’s ugly but maybe you can make it look better? I’m thinking that if I was gonna go inside, everything being quiet (or some fitting music) would add to the experience.
- some wolf art/education on the wall outside? I don’t know what.
- for the habitat, from my experience wolfs ( in real life) love to be able to hide between trees. I’m thinking maybe a hill, covered in trees 🌲, maybe even with a waterfall? And at the bottom it’s a river (with smaller rivers out from it) and all their toys/food. And maybe you can make the bottom part lower down from everything, so it’s not just flat and it won’t be needing a huge fence.
- Instead of adding the glass work you have through the park in the habitat, maybe add that on the viewing platform?
- maybe some education boards about the hunting of wolfs? I don’t know if that’s a problem/discussion in America tho? But it is in Europe.
- and if you wanna add something here (like the artic stuff) why can’t you go back and maybe add it somewhere else too. Then it will fit the park.
- I am missing general signing in this park and trash cans. (for realism)
And at the end I just wanna say that your videos are the ones I look the most forward too. Always such special ideas and you’re so easy to listen to.

Also to help with aligning the path to the inside of the building, when you select "Align to Grid" you can move your mouse to a building that is built on a grid, and it will be placed on that same grid. :)
I know how to fix the day issue. Make the passages to enter, for wolves and guests, curved so that light would have to bend around a corner to get in. This way, the building will be much darker.
I think a big waterfall going in a river (with those big rocks at the side) and then dense woods more at the side of the the river would look awesome.
Sticks and stones may brake our bones but they are still BestInSlot’s favorites.
You should have a piece of the roof be a skylight and the barrier for the inside should be a one way window. Also the statues you put for every exhibit, they could be called The Ghosts of Black Rock. Where those animals protected the natives from the expansion to the west.
Hey bestinslot, you should really get back into the isle especially since the recode is coming out. It would be awesome to see you survive as a tree.
Luve that idea of the star system... Maybe fiddle around with the black color as background.... more very small stars... haleys comet (maybe use some of the waterfeatures as the tale of it) .... maybe move the star system as the roof.... could also use the green stuff on the roof... anyways... just a few ideas for you... Like what you're doing... Keep it up.. :)
You should have a redwood enclosure, with like fallen logs acting like bridges and stuff

It looks so cozy🦌🌲 I love cozy Wood looks, I'm not sure why but something makes it look so cozy and great!🦌 The build of today was *Amazing!* I love how it reminds me of my oldest dream from my childhood! I always dreamed about a cozy place with stars and a large forest around!🌲

As fast as I get the game I will use alot of trees and plants to make it cozy and pretty as your park. I'm truly intrested in your park, you know what? I actually wish it was a real park!🌲🐾
I think to make it look like a shooting star, you should just take the small light trails and form them into a triangle
Also, it would be super pretty if you added the black to the sides and the ceiling and gave them stars too! I really love this idea and I'm definitely gonna try it myself (once I get the game)
For the exhibit, I think it would suit it if you gave them a little climbable mountain, so they can get closer to the moon to howl at it

I had an interesting Christmas, my nephew was born Christmas Eve so my family really didn't celebrate this year, we spent Christmas day cleaning up my brother's house and getting it ready for the baby.
Remove the lights on the underside of the raised bits on the roof and used the lights that you bordered the front with all around.
Honestly want to get a PC just to play this game and Prehistoric Kingdom. I love zoo simulator type games but I have a PS4 only.

Yeah, PC is better in every way. You do everything on it, you can highly customize how it performs, etc.
About the attic animals you shouldn't place in the polar bear but the others would be great, maybe make their area a bit snowy

Maybe for the space before the wolve exhibit, you can make an ecological awareness part about deforestation etc. I think in the game there are panels that are preset like the educationboards
I think maybe you should add like a couple smaller pine trees or plants inside the wolf place along the edges. It would kind of help it look more realistic

The polar bear is Canadian and the dall sheep is from Alaska so technically if you wanted those two animals would also work really well in this zoo

They need to put in more North American animals like Elk, Moose, Mountain Loins, Beavers, whitetail and mule deer. I loved the beavers in Zoo tycoon. Give them sticks and they would make a lodge and a damn!

Anyone know by chance if timber and arctic wolves can cohabit together? Theoretically they should be able to because they’re just wolves, but I don’t know if it works in game.

I love this series & your buildingstyle, but if you want to create nature more realistic, here's a tip. Under decideous trees, flowers might grow (except beech maybe), but there are hardly any plants underneath coniferous trees,something you do a lot

As for how to make the wolves' habitat unique... They are nimbler animals than the bears and bison, so maybe some more rugged terrain? Rocks to climb over and rest on? Or maybe give them an island with something interesting on it? Honestly I'm not really sure.
Do you upload any blueprints to the workshop? I'd love this in my game!
