You could put the formosan black bear in aswell and just pretend its an American black bear ;)
This is what I did with the Saltwater Crocs in my African themed zoo.
If you ever do an African Safari style zoo, make it centered around the big 5. I feel like that'll be super interesting and true to real life!
Do some hanukah stuff in the christmas zoo
I think that your original idea for having a different zoo for each different continent and or climates should still go through. This doesn’t mean that we don’t want other zoos like the Christmas zoo and frankly it doesn’t matter if it takes 2 years to finish the master zoo, I’m sure everyone will enjoy the massive series.
Proper geodesic domes aren’t currently possible in the game as the original pieces are the wrong angle. You can get close, but not perfect :)

I definitely prefer the idea of geographic themed zoos.
But maybe to make it easier in yourself, you could only really do one super big, high effort thing per zoo. As sort of a centerpiece that fits the theme of each zoo.
And then on your last biggest zoo you could put 100% into the whole thing.

Well like you said at the beginning, these small themed zoos will grow with new DLC so I think you should continue with small zoos.. but maybe a one to one. Finish this North American zoo and then u can do a big zoo with 15 animals or however u like and then u can come back to another specific zoo just so when DLC does come, you can add the animals to their themed zoos
Edit: also yes smaller videos of you just messing around with plant life and buildings would be really cool!
as someone who is from north america, you actually could add all the animals from the arctic pack if you wanted! maybe you could have an arctic section. also the gila monster and snakes and tarantulas for some exhibit animals - maybe someday they will add more north american animals like deer, elk, moose, cougars, foxes, otters, etc
I really like the original direction you were going in with limiting yourself for animals per franchise because even though it may feel like a shame because you’ve put in so much work... it gives it sooo much direction when you’re making them! I haven’t seen any other TH-camr be so strict and it’s refreshing 😊
Maybe as a compromise you could include some similar biomes to key animals? Like maybe the Arctic wolf could be in this zoo too along with the Timber Wolf? Saying that, it would be great to have all the Arctic Pack animals together 😅🤷🏻♀️

I think I speak for many people here when I say I enjoy listening to your voice and watching all your content in general. No matter whether you make huge builds or small chill builds people would enjoy the content. On a side note this Grizzly dome is very well done. It blows me away what people can come up with in this game
i really like the first idea of being strict with the use of animals! the zoos will grow with dlcs
Blackrock is probably one of my favorite zoos. I love the modern twist throughout the entire zoo.

I love the idea of the smaller zoos. With the themed animals and all. A couple of episodes and then moving into a diffrent theme and ideas. It seems about the last animal or two that you get tired of the zoo and it gives you the chance to move on. That's just what I've noticed, and the best part of your zoo and park builds is how excited you are and how much love and thought you put into them.
As long as you're enjoying working on a zoo go for it.
I love the orginal idea of having all the animals from the some continent/area together, but if a continent has a little bit of aninals you should combine some animals that from nearby continents. For example North and South America, you can seperate Black Rock into 2 parts. Half North America and half South America.
The climbing frame logs are skinnier than the construction logs. I like to use the metal Indian ceiling lights to cover the donation spinner myself. Really liking the look of the park, hope you feel better soon.
I and I feel 99% of your audience would be fine with you recording anything for this series! Yeh we do watch you for the builds but also for you, so even just an episode of you putting down plants or whatever would be fine! Content is content! Also, I personally prefer the original concept for the zoos being regional but obviously it’s your channel so do whatever keeps you sane!

I love the idea of the audience being more involved. You doing more to show management of the zoo and more real time videos! Personally I don't have a preference of how you order your zoos whether you keep it to region and biome, or do a more theme base (all snowy animals, all bears, or whatever), I enjoy how you design your zoos regardless!

Love the idea of seeing more aspects of the game, like the managing or care of the animals. I would like to see you playing more in "normal" speed mixed with the speed builds.

I'd definitely be on board for some more low-key, chill episodes. Have a big build once or twice a week, and then spend some time filling in plants and wrestling with paths, or watching the animals..... I'd definitely watch that!
I like these small parks. From working myself I tried building a massive park and I got bored of it. So I like these small parks their nice. I also really want to see all of the new critters added to blackrock they all fit so well.
I just recently got PlanetZoo and I find your zoos very inspirational. I enjoy your story for each park. And I especially enjoy your commentary! Your videos are usually my favorite „good night voice“ to listen to (and not in a boring way! )

I know it seems like so much extra work, but I really love your original idea of the different zoos with strict limits of what goes in each one. It feels like it gives more of a purpose to the different zoos in franchise mode, whereas some people put all the animals in one zoo instead of actually starting over. I also love the idea of adding new animals into existing zoos. If you're wanting to not start over immediately, maybe you could start with the master zoo already until you're feeling inspired for the next geographically accurate zoo.
Regarding not necessarily finishing an exhibit or whatever in a video, I am 100% on board. Whatever means I get more videos, and you don't get burned out, I am good with.
This park is looks so cool and i love the modern theme. You should add the new DLC animals in this park
I dunno why everyone is so against mixing other animals into this zoo. the whole style and concept is so fun and ties together really well!! you can always repeat animals, which is logical considering there are animals (especially North American animals lmao) found in multiple continents and biomes. seeing you have so much fun with this park and all of the experimental building is so entertaining to watch!! as long as you enjoy what you’re doing, I’ll enjoy watching~

You mentioned looking for smaller "poles" to use for the donation box, if you look in habitat, the small climbing poles are a decent substitute for small "pole-like" logs. Hope this helps! Loving Black Rock Park!
I like the original idea you had with the smaller zoos with all different animals from that continent and biome leading up to the master zoo. It’s more unique than what other people are doing on this game.

This zoo looks amazing, and I love chill beautification episodes. Maybe try the display boards in little inukshuks and donations in totem poles. I really think totem pole would be cool and may be done pretty simply, could be a chill build session in real time
Love the non time lapse idea. .also you can never have too many plants/foliage. Put in as much as you feel necessary

With the timber wolf's you should give them a pride rock thing that the locals call "Black Rock"
I enjoy the big, fancy speedbuilds but I also like the idea of more chill eps too where you just decorate, do smaller stuff and whatnot. Regardless, I enjoy watching your content. You're hilarious and create awesome stuff! I love the modern look of this zoo and seeing you experiment with different ideas. Anywho, hope you feel better soon!

i would like to see one series on the side if possible, that is a bigger more chill zoo that is biom themed, where you just take the animals from let's say tropical biom and then one with grassland e.t.c. but i also love your content as it is. keep up the good work

Personally I much prefer the idea of limiting yourself to animals of particular habitats/regions because it's very unique and has a lot of room for creativity. Nobody else I know making planet zoo content does stuff like this
Each time I see the pronghorn enclosure, I am always reminded of the Skysong structure in Scottsdale.I don't know why. I will say though if you're gonna look that structure up, look it up as "Skysong at night", because during the day it just looks like an ugly white big top circus tent that looms over a business class center.
You should put some plants or vines hanging off that low hanging beam in the rain forest cafe

I feel your pain with the coughing, I have the same thing right now😬
What I think is lacking in terms of plants yet is natural feeling placement of trees, you have a lot of trees standing around on their own, no compositions of groups or little forests, something that I think would make a huge difference, because you would have foliage pieces that actually block the view and create a certain closeness, in the moment you have a lot of very open spaces in the enclosures. I think for example that a dark/dense forest behind the bear enclosure would really help.

For lighting the giant dome maybe putting spot lights behind it casting upwards would work? That way it's illuminated without having the lights shining into it?

I really like the design of this exhibit, but I think you should add more sight lines on the right side of it so that guests can see the bears more often.
I think that if you stick with smaller geographic based zoos, you should limit the number of really complex/tedious builds as I bet you could make a bunch of simpler exhibits that look great (as you did with the beta build with the exception of panna ghar).
I love your idea of the geographic themed zoos and I really wish it would keep going.
And a nice way to make the Timber Wolves exhibit and the exhibit animals is to have a large forest. In the forest love Timber Wolves and in the forest you could have a tree city with treehouses and the treehouses house different exhibit animals. It fits North America.
Also I love the idea of the next episode being decorating the walkway area. Also don’t make it too foresty. Keep it like a garden around a central pond.
Seeing decoration videos would be good it would add a lot of life to the park

Great video! It's okay that you've taken time... don't kill yourself over TH-cam!! It's important to be healthy, then you can do so much more. Love your videos and hope you get better real soon! Pertaining to the zoo theme(s); have you thought about adding the exhibits in the zoos pertaining to their continent? It might give you a little more variety and something else to focus on besides the animals....

u could use the climbing poles from the habitat section theyre slimmer
You could use the skinny poles that animals can climb instead of chunky logs!
You could add reindeers to Black Rock once the Arctic dlc is out, as reindeers are native to North America (though I do believe they are called caribou here).
Next time we come back to Black Rock Park you got to do the timber wolves.

Yeah, I agree, keeping the animals limited to the theme is a bit too much. Blackrock Park is such a cool zoo and you put in so much work into it. It really would be a shame to see it end so quickly just because there aren't that many animals that live in one biome/continent. And, frankly, when I go to a zoo, I very much want to see animals that feel exotic or foreign.
Well the artic animals coming should allow for more animals in the perhaps smaller bio zones
IDEA: a park that looks like the exhibits could be completely natural like the borders are cliffs and drops and water

I hope you will make a beautiful habitat for wolves. With very huge moder viewing platform for guests and steams of hot water like in Springbok habitat in Beta ZOO. In habitat can be a moutain with waterfall and the oldest tree in Blackrock. Love you so much.
