I just started watching your videos and I really love them. I'm a maldivian and yes there are various activities you can do there. It's really good to hear you say these things about maldives. :)
The skyscrapper video was already awesome but this one is amazing! It is sooooo beautiful and well done. And the amount of details is out of this world. I always enjoy your speed buildings, you're really talented. Thank you and keep it up!

I'm sure you use a lot of shortcuts when using Sketchup, so I don't know if you are familiar with these ones already: when you are drawing a line you can type the length you want after choosing the starting point and the direction, and Sketchup will add a line of that length in that direction (for example press 1 and enter). Also if you want to get stairs or other objects easily, you can type x10 and press enter and Sketchup will repeat whatever move you just did, ten times (or the number you entered). Try it, and you will see for yourself how it works. I study architecture in Finland and I absolutely love your building videos! Have been a subscriber for years. Keep up the good work! :)
Hi Mirjami! I believe he already knows these shortcuts as they are one of the basics in the sketchup tutorials.. I didn't know about the duplication one though so thanks for that.. but I'm a beginner, so I don't count :P
I love this water villa so much (especially the colours you used) and you really have a lot of great skill when it comes to making these house. I would love to see some more houses like this. It's great that you do all kinds of houses and I just want to say that because of you I have considered a career in architecture for the future.
Hey! My school has started using Google sketchup for projects and learning things and 3D printing and when we started it everyone was completely perplexed and confused but I had some knowledge from your vids! And also I have total respect for how skilled you are because when I started I was surprised how difficult it is to build and navigate around! Love this Villa!
Please read "Rich Dad, Poor Dad". With your skills, excellence and love for what you do, you surely deserve to live comfortably from it. Your raw talent is phenomenal. And your stories are fun lol
Hey there! I must say, I love your channel... Most of my inspiration comes from watching your videos when I design things on SketchUp.. I was wondering if you could, one day, make a video tutorial on tips while using SketchUp? I have some designs but my craftsmanship is pretty sloppy.. Could you make a tutorial video or series on making foundations, walls, groups/components, etc etc.. Just things or tips to make designing more smoother? I always end up having broken houses or walls that randomly disappear when connecting a line, simple mistakes like that.. Thank you so much! And it's no rush, I just hope to see it some day :) I absolutely love your work and designs, keep on going!
when you do repetitive lines, it's much easier to just use the move tool. Press the modifying key that allows for copy, then move the line to the distance you like, press enter to place it. Type X (number) with the number being the times you want to do that in succession and it will do all the lines at once.
Hi DutchSims4Master, i just love your creations, you're so talented and creative, i love the work you do with Sketchup, and for the next video could you make a second skyscraper or a yacht ? I think the yacht's idea could diversify your channel ! Sorry for my english, i'm a french teenager :)
I think if I ever got to go to a place like the Maldives or anyplace similar...I would have a VERY difficult time leaving and coming back to cold New York. .
honestly it was a little fast but dam man you got talent. I really like it a few things I think it could of done with out but its your design keep it up man :) I wish you explained like some of the hotkeys you used, even though its not a guide I think it would of been a good feature to the video
I love the SketchUp videos because you have such great ideas! I also somtemes SkecthUp, I have learned a lot now, but something is always in my mind when building: When doing windows and glasses, how do you do it? A single one face rectangle painted with transparent color, or a block, like a large not so thick rectangle, painted in both sides? Hope you understand that ^ XD
for tips i think you should use plug ins, since your work takes time, it will speed up your work. also for the push tool, you can double click on the objects to change the thickness uniformly, i didnt see you use that here so just saying, materials you can make your own and add it to the material editors, but while rendering it you need to fiddle with the render settings, i dont use the one you use and have never so i dont know if you can, but you can in vray, which is what i use.[i put this in because you were talking about the contrast in materials and because some of the materials you used didnt look native to Maldives] hope it this helps :D
let's say you have a line, or a shape, or some sort of component that you want to repeat across a distance (let's say 10 meters). Select the object and hit the "move" command. Select a reference point and try to move the object around. It should pull other things it's connected to along with the selected object. While still in the move command hit the "ctrl" button and it changes the move command into a copy command. Place the object 1 meter away and then type in "10x" there should now be a total of 10 copies of the object and 11 objects total selected along the same line that the 1st object was copied. If you measure the same reference point from the 1st object to the last object you should read 10 meters. This is a useful tool for copying things that repeat quite a bit. Also if you make the object a component before you copy it across , you should be able to edit all of the objects in one go. If you need the components to work independently of each other (maybe it's a window frame and the roof is pitched) right click your mouse over said object and hit the "make unique" option. This allows you to edit the object without tampering with the other copied objects. Hope this helps.
Hey man are you studying architecture right now? awesome speedbuild though! you nailed through the aesthetics of the house :D Just want to pitch in if you don't mind. I'm also doing sketchup speedbuild as well! Been using sketchup for more than 7 years now!
hey there I'm a really big fan of your work seen as I love modern architecture and sims, and il was wondering what advice you have for starting sketchup and getting to this level?
Hello congratulations on this great video and thank you. I would like to ask you to watch the videos at normal speed, so we can learn better and any house you put on this media is sure to be great thanks.
i study Master 2 architecture " university " i think u have nice idea but for more important to build in the city i mean u u creat a form for a build located in city thats harder then what u do coz in this case ur totaly free i would see how u deal with it in real city :) nice and keep good work ;)
I Really want to try out Google sketch up but I don't know how to use it. Could you maybe do a tutorial on it? That would be really helpful !😊 great villa by the way😍
and how do you render the images to make it look more realistic and the water so glassy ? , because when do my models and i remove the black lines and take images of it it still looks too animated
I was wondering how you download your SketchUp because there quite a lot of choices to choose. When I finished my choices got it and downloaded it, I looked at your SketchUp and it's totally different.Mine doesn't have the plants and a lot of other things that you have. So, I would like to ask you where and how did you download your SketchUp?
I noticed that you use a lot of wood in the build. When you build a tropical house, make sure you use cold colours and materials to give the illusion of cold climate. Wood is a warm material
Hi. Im from Maldives, Watched and Loved the video. I would like to share ideas as well. Is there any way to communicate with you? I mean email or Skype?
nice video, and i can't believe you're only 15 :O and you can create groups/components and array to build it faster btw (just wanna tell you in case you haven't know it yet ;)
Not bad, you definitively have the scale and proportion part down. However, I implore you to learn to multi-duplicate on a regular basis; you often repeat unnecessary steps you've already gone through, by duplicating evenly you not only save a lot of time but also you ensure everything will be even, sometimes you slightly move a face on one specific support and such. Keep improving.
What about a series where you build a town/city in Sketchup? So you put in your prebuilt houses etc and build roads, terrains around them
I just started watching your videos and I really love them. I'm a maldivian and yes there are various activities you can do there. It's really good to hear you say these things about maldives. :)

Je zou ook een bioscoop kunnen bouwen met een stuk bovengronds en een stuk ondergronds. Blijf zo door gaan
