Part 6 features machine gunner Specialist 4 Bill Beck and Lt. Col. Bruce Crandall, recipient of the Medal of Honor for his heroism in repeatedly flying his unarmed helicopter into the battle, under fire, to deliver ammunition and supplies and evacuate the wounded

I'm not sure if the Vietnam veterans can read this but as a son of a vietnam era veteran I thank all the men who fought and died for our country thank for your service to our country I enjoy hearing all of our veterans tell there stories
Sincerely thank you for sharing this. I am nearly ashamed to say I missed Viet Nam by about 9 months. I enlisted shortly after graduation from Military School in 76. However the conflict was over. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE, GOD BLESS SIR!

We better all stop bitching about the new veterans from Iraq and honour them with the same respect we give for these men.

No one tells how 2/7 chose to head to LZ Albany via a long wooded area (obvious ambush country). Leadership trusted a helicopter recon. of the woods, saying there was no enemy visible. As if the NVA after over 2 decades of war knew nothing about camouflage and setting ambushes. Leadership was completely absent on this operation.
