Soooo true
16 years worth of content on respceting the men a d women who served. Thank you for the dedication!
Thank you for your service. Respect
If you notice, Gen. Hal Moore is the ONLY one not watching the movie. It hurts..... I'm sure it hurts.
The second guy would be Hal Moore, the commander of the American Forces at La Drang valley, and who helped direct the movie. You bet it was hard on him.
I apologize for my late reply. It was just the way their training was done. Sort of the mentality of "I didn't sign up for THIS!". They did the same thing at Khe Sanh during the entire siege. And I agree, the bravery shown was phenomenal.
I respect Mr. Moore for not looking at that movie. I bet he doesn’t want to live it again.
I just finished the book, very good.
Im watching half of this in 2024
It just occured to me that like Galloway at the Ia Drang, there _was_ a member of the press present at the Little Big Horn fight with the 7th Cav. His name was Kellog, and he did not make it out of there alive being with Custer's command group.
the vietnam war was probably illegal ,right?
but these guys are heroes nonetheless.
mjr
tokyo
Rip Galloway
What is the movie they played?
History repeats itself... unfortunately.
Just like Vietnam... Iraq was politically motivated and unConstitutional... (only Congress can declare war). If we were going after terrorism... we would study what caused it... mainly our foreign policies (support for dictatorships and our bases). This was according to the 911 report.
I was born in 2007 and i am 16yr😮
They weren't aware they were going into a hot LZ. They DID go in, but they turned back when they started getting shot at.
Man, those are lot's of bold accusations. Mind citing your sources? It is easy to speculate, draw parallels in situations and declare your biased conclusion as fact.
Which accusations are you referring to?
Yep... but unfortunately we won't.
@thirty6min Easy to criticize after-the-fact. Fact is, the US was learning how to fight this kind of war and were new to fighting the NVA. It was territory they didn't know. This was not like Korea or Europe. 2ndly, the US public wasn't going to accept another war so congress didn't declare war and the Generals had to make do with normal peacetime patterns where they could not require soldiers to fight more than 1-year. That was just the system. Blame the system and US foreign policy instead
Top Leadership was stupid. We used guerrilla tactics since the Revolutionary War. They'd JUST kicked out the French ffs. They should've used a lot more common sense
There is a difference between Jews and Zionist. Go to my playlist... love thy neighbor and see what some jews are saying. Iran has the largest jewish population outside of Isreal and they are free to practice their religion. Is the fact that they are Iranian and not Israeli make a difference. There is alot of hate... isnt it time... we try something different.
🧑🦳 Thank you
