Some people hate them.
Some love them.
Others can't wait until they can have them removed.

We are traveling in a one of a kind Coleman 17B. The 17B is the lowest priced RV in the market for its size. I tend to think of the 17B as a starter kit that owners can personalize to fit their own needs and tastes. Virtually every one is a “one of a kind” project. We have completed over 50 upgrades or modifications on ours.

My old hinge is messing up the door so I can't half a$$ it & actually have to remove the old one
Makes sense. Are they installed with pop rivets that have to be drilled out?
what the hell kind of controversy can there be for a hinge that keeps the door from smacking you in the back of the head??? lol. Some people's kids, I swear. Great video though, Ive got an old 98 Itasca Sun Cruiser that going to be getting this upgrade asap. You guys get those from Amazon, Lippert or from a local shop?

What brand of friction hinges did you use im looking to purchase a set for my 17b
Lippert is almost the only brand anyone uses. Amazon has them for $16-$25.
We used them this past week in really windy conditions. There are pros and cons, but they worked well.
@@funinourrv yea I see everybody uses lippert but if I didn't have to spend the 30 dollars and could get the ones half of the price then I was gonna do that just

What are the cons? It seems like they are a great addition, especially if you can’t use the usual latch.
