I just bought a Tidewater 2020 1910 baymax The friction hinges are so strong on the bait well that it is cracking the gel coat and takes two hands to open or close. Tidewater is at a loss. I was told not to loosen the hinges but am curious who is going to replace the gel coat when it breaks. Tried lubricant, no luck. They seem like a good idea but not on this application Please contact Tidewater Yachts and give them a clue.
