I just did this with glass ornaments for our Christmas tree this yr. I was looking for some personalized ornaments for my kids and everyone wanted like $20+ for just 1. I said nope, I'll do it myself, and I did. They turned out better than all the ones I'd seen for such a high price.
Thanks so much for showing the struggles and how long it actually takes. It’s teaching me to be more patient with my own crafts. I really appreciate it!!!!
Thank you for this! I was getting so frustrated trying to cut the premium vinyl and I said I'm going to use HTV it cuts so much easier and I don't mind the ironing process! Thank you so much!
Diane Brown I set my temp for whatever my htv recommences for that material but usally I set for 330 unless I’m working with printable vinyl then that I set at 380
I did this on a tumbler and the iron scratched up the finish on my tumbler, so be very careful with that iron. I would probably try the heat gun method next time.
Glitter htv is easier to work with than glitter psv. But permanent adhesive will work beautifully. Make sure you let it for at least 24 hours and try to keep your corners rounded ( pointed corners lift easier). I always take a hair dryer or heat gun on a low setting over the vinyl to ( not to close or hot) to get it to really seal to the cup.
I've run cups with both Oracal 651 and HTV thru the dishwasher (was an accident, but still) and they came out fine. The key is to make sure you clean the surface very very well (I'm a fan of denatured alcohol for this) and waiting the 24 hrs after you put the vinyl on the mug to start using / putting water on it.
I have just recently found your TH-cam Channel and love it. I'm going to be getting a Cricut soon and have never used one. I love your videos and looking forward watching more and making so many things :) Thanks :)
How many seconds do you set your press to when you do the tumblers? I saw another lady mentioned she puts her temp at 330 for glitter? Thanks a bunch!!
Specialty Materials has such awesome colors and I agree that the color choice is awesome but I'd probably still use pressure sensitive vinyl....just saying! :)

I love tumblers. They make great gifts for anyone and can put so many designs on them.
Looks pretty! And probably help for grip for us oldies with arthritis!
I use a mug press and a heat gun to do this all the time. My heat gun works so much better thought
At what temperature and for how long on mug press?
Diane Brown I set my temp for whatever my htv recommences for that material but usally I set for 330 unless I’m working with printable vinyl then that I set at 380
What setting do you use on your heat gun? I've always been curious if that worked but just haven't given it a go yet
@@rscott400, thank you so much.
Diane Brown your welcome
Amazing in all colours. Well done Betsy 😊
i thought she was never going to get it to actually stick! Lol
Can I use my tumbler press instead of an iron? It seels like it would be so much easier.
Could you use a curling iron?
I get so excited when I get notified you have a new Craftmas episode. I've used several of your ideas for Christmas gifts. Happy Thanksgiving
Can I use HTV on powdered coated stainless steel tumbler? If so do I need to seal it?
I love your crafty ideas... I have made a lot of projects thanks to you and your tutorials... 😊
I've never used HTV for things like this. I always use the sticker vinyl. Is HTV better for these things?
Omg your fingers were so close to the iron I was getting worried, but what a nice way to show another way to use htv without a press x
I’ve had luck with the powder coated cups like this but not so much plain silver... any tips for those? Love your sweater!
love the flat black tumbler so cute with that pink!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is it possible to player HTV onto regular vinyl then put it on the tumbler or will I still need to actually heat it?
There is a mini Clover 2 iron with different attachments that would be perfect for putting vinyl on cups like that.
Can I use my heat press cup press to do these? If so, what temperature would I set the machine and how long?
What a cute idea! Ty for sharing how to use other tools to craft with HTV xx
What would tthe time and temp be in a heat press?
I did this on a tumbler and the iron scratched up the finish on my tumbler, so be very careful with that iron. I would probably try the heat gun method next time.
Could you use regular vinyl versus HTV? Which on will hold up better?
Will this work on the plastic cups with lids or will it melt those ?
I wouldn’t try it
whereca we get the wooden pic from?
Why would we use HTV vinyl versus the regular vinyl? That looks like a pain to do.
She used the HTV because she had a specific color she liked - the HTV is also thinner than the 651
If I heat press HTV onto a mug am I able to place the mug in the dishwasher?
Another great gift idea that anyone would love. Thank you for sharing all you talents with us. Happy Thanksgiving to all❤️
Why can’t you put it in dishwasher? Have you ever used cricut easy press on a tumbler or mug?
I tried using HTV and a heat press and the adhesive "bleed" any suggestions on how to prevent this?
Lower temp. Don't press as long. If glue is seeping then your melting it to much.
How did you get the top and bottom of the letters on the sides to touch the middle initial?
Why not use the mini easy press. It’s small and reliable
How did you mange to line the transfer paper to the line on the cup? Do you use a template?
how well does this last when used outdoors. I want to apply the same thing to my bike. will this hold up to mud, water, cold and hot temperatures?
Glad I'm not the only one this happens to...just when you tjink you're done, a little piece pops up
I’m surprised you don’t do the glitter tumblers
Can you use a mug press?
yes you can
Are you wearing Rockport shoes? I have a pair that look exactly like them and they are so comfortable
Can you do this with a heat press
Would a mini craft iron work as well?
Hi is it possible to use non glitter htv on a tumbler?
Sure but you would probably be better off using adhesive
@@CuttinCornersVinyl okay. I have an order of tumblers to do and I want to find the best way to adhere vinyl.
Glitter htv is easier to work with than glitter psv. But permanent adhesive will work beautifully. I love the to colors together! Okay I am getting into the montagrams
It turned out very stunning
Hello! Great YOUTube, can you tell me where to buy the tumbler at? TIA
how long will the htv last on it after washing? I attempted it once and some stars and letters didn't stay on. will have to try again.

This is really cute! Is there a specific reason you used HTV vs regular permanent vinyl?
The HTV is thinner, doesn't have as much of a raised feel as 651 does IMO
I have just recently found your TH-cam Channel and love it. I'm going to be getting a Cricut soon and have never used one. I love your videos and looking forward watching more and making so many things :) Thanks :)
Have you ever tried using a Cricut Easypress on a cup?
Have you ever tried with a heat gun?
I love your tutorials, but I am not getting notified any more when you are live or have a tutorial out.
Wait. You can't put aluminum tumblers in the dishwasher? OOPS! A thousand times over lol
your videos are the highlight of the day!
Can you use your cup press for this process?
Yes, if you have the right size / shape for it
I asked this and then I heard her say it in her video. I should have deleted my question. Sorry. Thanks for responding
How many seconds do you set your press to when you do the tumblers? I saw another lady mentioned she puts her temp at 330 for glitter? Thanks a bunch!!
I don't set a timer, I do a few seconds at a time and stop pressing when the vinyl is stuck, because I don't want to overcook it.
What temp do you set the cup press and long?
Go to the manufacturer site and look up the instructions for the specific material you are using.
Have you ever tried doing the HTV on a swig brand cup?
Wouldn't a mug press work better and faster ?
Is the design as durable as pressure sensitive?
How durable is pressure sensitive in cups?
Kapton tape and a cradle would make this sooooo much easier.
Where can I buy this vinyl at?
Lindi Harston on our website www.cuttincornersvinyl.com
Love this color of vinyl
Could you use a cup press
sorry jumped ahead of vid
I hope I get picked for Craftmas episode also. I love all her episode.
Very Pretty. Happy Thanksgiving.
love these projects....
very nice, watch the fingers they wouldn't go with the mug.
Awesome! Happy Thanksgiving to y'all too.
The pink pops on the black
Specialty Materials has such awesome colors and I agree that the color choice is awesome but I'd probably still use pressure sensitive vinyl....just saying! :)
Love the glitter.
I put my tumblers in the diswasher😁
Thank you for showing this with an iron
