    ❤ Great job. SERIOUSLY! I am in a rush doing spring cleaning job while on a Rover job. I'm in a rush, those others had me pulling my hair out... lol (anyone can cover a flat surface). This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!

    You made a beautiful cup. I’m poaching this ideas for a friend’s baby gift! Also there is a woman here on YT who made a template by wrapping the tumbler with scrap fabric, then cutting away away the excess leaving a template. I can’t find the video. It was so good.

    This is soooo pretty! I just got my first tumbler thingy and it holds two cups. I've never made a tumbler but I am into all sorts of arts and crafts so I may try to do one similar to this with all of the vinyl (or scrapbook/card making paper from my huge stash) to make one for my mom for Mother's day!

    This cup is absolutely beautiful and I know that your Mom is going to love it. The color scheme is gorgeous. How do you keep the glitter from getting on your no glitter portions of your cup during the epoxy process? Spraying with clear spary before epoxing?

    • @madebymal_studio
      @madebymal_studio  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much! ❤️ Yes, exactly! I usually do a couple coats of clear spray before epoxying. You can also use Quick Coat from CCDIY to seal the sections of glitter individually

    I'm starting to work on this but I can't find answer to how long it take for the epoxy to dry so how long did you let dry the bottom part when you added the white glitter?

    • @madebymal_studio
      @madebymal_studio  ปีที่แล้ว

      For epoxy method glitter application, I typically wait 2-3 hours for it to dry. For regular epoxy coats, it depends on the type of epoxy you use. Some brands/types will be slightly different. Times range from 2 hours for fast set to 12 hours for a regular epoxy.

    How long did this cup take to make. I’m having a cup made nothing like this but assuming same concept. I’m at 3 weeks. And waiting. “ I’m working on it big cups take longer”

    • @madebymal_studio
      @madebymal_studio  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you! I soak it in acetone. Wrap with paper towels and then pour the acetone, wrap the whole thing in foil, & let it sit for 24 hours. Everything just falls right off!

    • @Denise-lv2js
      @Denise-lv2js 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@madebymal_studio thank you. I guess I didn’t realize that acetone would work for stripping the powder coating off the cups. I’ll try it.

    • @madebymal_studio
      @madebymal_studio  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It may take a couple times to get it off completely but it works for me! Also helps if you sand the powder coating to rough it up beforehand
