Hi, just FYI on your old heat press, you can take your control panel off to use with your cup press and plate press, and you don't have to pull out the entire press and base every time. Only for the hat press (because it has to be mounted) and flat press.
Thanks for a great video, it was super east to follow along and straight to the point! I appreciate it a lot 😊 Would this work well on an easypress mini ? And should I work the entire vinyl area or press one letter at a time? Also I was thinking of sealing just the vinyl letters with polyurethane using a brush, rather than spraying the whole cup incase it has an incompatible paint or is already sealed etc, what are your thoughts? Thank you 🙏
Nice, i have same press and struggle with how to set the temp and timer. Any chance you can walk me through how you set temp and time each time and start timer? Thank you. I want to try glitter glitter htv with cup press
@@CreativelyErica Cricut offcially say no as it is too hot and programmed for sublimation only. I will be trying the heat gun method myself as soon as my heat resistant tape arrives.
Thanks for sharing. I feel like Cricut says no to everything fun solely so they don't have to follow through with warranties later on. Someone once told me that bedazzling the lid on my cricut made the warranty invalid even though the jewels don't do anything to the machine and I could even scrape them off if I needed to. I have seen someone use their mugpress (I think on tiktok) for this though and it did work out great. But if you need to use the warranty then obviously do whatever cricut recommends.
@@CreativelyErica I tried the heat gun method with a burnishing roller for pressure and the letters still come off easily. I am wondering if the problem lies with my mug being glossy?
I haven't tried it personally yet with HTV (just regular permanent adhesive over baked acrylic paint pour) but I've had success with ModPodge Dishwasher Safe sealant! Put about 5 layers over it, let it sit and cure for the 28 day cure time, and it's still holding up great with both handwashing and dishwashing (aside from a paint bubble on the bottom that was from the paint)
I haven't tried but I wouldn't think it's safe. I feel like it would melt the vinyl. I've hand washed since I made this and it's held up thus far though.
Thank you so much for showing us this. Definitely helps out those of us who have these big ideas but not the big equipment. You're awesome ❤

Great tutorial, thanks for showing both ways and adding all the great detail 🎉
I absolutely love you tutorial! I only have a heat gun so this is so helpful!
This is EXACTLY what I was looking for ty for sharing 💜
Thanks for watching! ❤️
Thank you so much for this video. I have the heat press and all the attachments but did not know how to use them. You made it so simple.
Thank you, this answered many questions I had. Great video!
Cool! I’ve tried this with my mini press with some success, but now I might have to borrow the mister’s heat gun.😊💜
🙌 yasss
I wondered if the mini press would work . My friend uses it then bakes in the oven. She swears by it .
Another awesome informative presentation....thank you!
Love the video thank you for sharing . Definitely going to try this
Thank you so much 😊 I just got my cricut and your videos are teaching me so much
what exact vinyl do you use for these? im overwhelmed with vinyl
Your video helped me so much. Thank you ❤
I never new you can use heat transfer vinyl for cups 🤯. I literally thought it was just for clothes.
🙌👏
I was just about to say the same thing 😅
Thank you for the video, this really helped.
This is awesome, can the mug decorated with heat transfer vinyl be used in microwave and does it last long? Thank you 🙏
Im excited to do this!!!
What would be the advantage of using HTV instead of just reg permanent vinyl?
good question, who knows fr?
Thank you at my sisters and she does not have the same equipment I do so the heat gun method will work for us.
I'm sold. Great video
Thank you, this has helped a lot
Was that a Seeutek heat press??
Does the tempeture setting depend on the vinyl instructions?? Please help.🙏 I want to try This.
Great video! How would I go about doing this with a ceramic wax melt burner? Could I use that in a heat press ?

Can you use the mini press with a carrier sheet? I have seen that done before, but wasn't sure if it was ok.

Thanks for a great video!!
Hi Mam, is it Sublimation cup or Ordinary which used in video ?....
Is their a difference between heat transfer and iron on vinyl
is this heat transfer vinyl - like what type stuff did you use - is it the permanent vinyl - Im kind of new so IDK what was used here. thanks
Is the resistant for outdoor use on the cups and heat resistant like Texas heat?
Im wondering about the haze that shows up around the vinyl after pressing. Any idea what causes that?
How long do you have to wait to wash the cup after putting the vinyl on
What kind of paper do you use around the mug for the heat press?
Would you recommend HTV Or Permanent Vinyl for this type of thing? which is better?
Personally, I use HTV on ceramic/glass items that can be pressed but on any plastic cups I'd use permanent vinyl
@@CreativelyEricai tried htv but its peeling off. It leaves a white residue like glue
I tried it in the cricut mug press but it just pulled straight off with the backing. 😞 Mug press in too long? Too hot? Any suggestions? ❤️
Please do mention what kind of htv material thank you
how do you know how hard to press? Also where did you find that neat heat tape dispenser
Can we use a oven as well?
So cool!!!
😊 thanks!
Does it work will layers
Hi😊 What kind of paper are you using? The white paper after applying the paper transfer to the mug
Butcher paper
Can you use parchment paper instead of butcher paper?
What is the name or brand of your tape dispenser?
Can you make a htv mug in a convection oven?
What size can I put the image on my coffe mug
Could you do this with infusible ink??
Can you layer htv vinyl?
Hello...So is HTV better for mugs as opposed to vinyl?
No
Vinyl is way way better
Ok. I use vinyl, I haven't tried HTV. Can u tell me why u choose vinyl?
I have used both, permanent vinyl stays longer and stronger.
@@jaberjbaar okay. Thank you so much. Appreciate ya
What about the life span of HTV from the mug?
Do you think this will work with the Cricut Mug Press too?
No doubt! My mug press is similar to Cricut's and it worked perfectly!

As far as I know, yes
Do u seal these?? If so what do u use

Is there a faster dishwasher safe coating you can put on? 28 days is long enough for me to forget about the mug haha
Do u think it’s dishwasher safe?
I haven't tried but I wouldn't think it's safe. I feel like it would melt the vinyl. I've hand washed since I made this and it's held up thus far though.

👍👍👍
I tried this and it absolutely did not work. I couldn’t even wash it by hand without the vinyl coming off.
Do you make heat transfers for others?
Till first wash this mug :)
Need to find a way to make dishwasher safe 😢
ModPodge makes a Dishwasher Safe Top Coat but I believe it requires a 30-day cure before use. I’m also unsure if its foodsafe
