- In this video, I show you how to LOCATE & CATCH huge white bass in the river from the bank when swift current is present. The White Bass Run of 2023 is heating up in Texas! When the rivers and creeks flood, that is when the white bass will shoot up to find places to spawn. You MUST find those areas and pockets of slack water, white bass will get there in order to rest and save energy. That is where you can find these white bass when the current is swift. Went this morning same scenario with the flooded creek water moving quick sandies were spawning and couldn’t catch a thing. Could literally see them all balled up. I’ve never had luck when there in spawn mode
If they are in the process of spawning, they don’t care to eat. That’s why they look awful when they are done. They don’t eat. And they aren’t worth eating after spawn in my opinion either. Thanks for watching and the support! God bless

Asian people like to eat white bass a lot and stripper bass. Not any stripper bass in Minnesota rivers or lakes. Also hard to find good white bass fishing spot in Minnesota.

No sir. I don’t believe I caught any hybrids on this trip. Sometimes they can have different line patterns but there are many ways to tell between a regular white bass and a hybrid. I find these fish disgusting to eat myself. You can catch these all day, all year at the spillsways near me. Many fishermen locally leave them on the bank or rocks and don't throw them back. I don't agree with that myself but it happens.
Soak them in buttermilk, simple jack
Most underatted fish to eat, where your spot like come cacth some
You must not know how to prepare them. Are they as good as crappie? No. However, they are decent table far when prepared properly. Must cut that bloodline out, I soak mine in milk and salt.
