And realizing over and over this was all written by 13-14 year old Pau, and performed by these young teens. No words

QOTMS is their masterpiece! Their 2nd album, early in their just starting international career… but their masterpiece! Love this album! 👍⚡️🤘

@@booradley8895 for sure! I think the story and lyrics are mostly (usually) by Pau - I remember Dany commenting that her and Ale’s response when they heard the story was ‘So Much blood!!’

    • @jamesanderson5268
      @jamesanderson5268 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

In an interview, Dany said that Pau had written some of the songs plus some riffs and brought them to Dany and Ale. The sisters looked at what she had done and said, "So much blood! " Then the three got together to finish what Pau had. I know for sure that "Crimson Queen" was written by Dany. The first album was probably 80-90% Pau but not the 2nd album.

In my opinion this is easily in the top 5 of all concept albums and for me it's #1. It's a shame that it probably won't get the exposure it deserves.

The crafting of the album itself is another piece of art, in all aspects: from the artwork to the changes in tone between songs. There is not a single point to refine. It's truly a musical novel

This album is quite the trip. I listened to the whole thing in the car yesterday, non-stop. It is a roller-coaster from start to finish. Every time I hear it, I'm amazed at the writing, the composition, the arrangements, and the performance. It's obvious they put everything they could into it, and that that was a considerable amount! The Lunario show is raw, real, a little rough, but incredibly emotional. How these (then) kids could come up with it and pull it off independently is just awe inspiring. I hope they find it possible to do something like this again. They definitely have the chops and team to do a first rate job of it!

A personal favorite of mine, along with Crimson Queen. These ladies were so damn good, at such a young age. Take 3 young sisters with gobs of natural talent, then add excellent songwriting skills, a decade of laser focused development, an enduring love for rock, and total mastery of the riff and hook... and you end up with The Warning. A power trio for the ages, and an absolute MONSTER of a live band.

This was a fantastic reaction series. Even having listened to the studio album and this concert close to a hundred times already it still boggles the mind that 17, 15, and 12 year olds wrote this masterpiece concept album for just their second album. There are bands that have been around for 40 years that never wrote a concept album and ones that did weren't this good. Have someone listen to the studio album without telling them the ages of the girls then and they'd think this was written by three women in their 30s or 40s with 25 to 30 years experience in the music industry.
When Pau says "Start over" it's a hidden message to press replay on the album or concert. The loop back into Dust to Dust from The End(Stars Always Seem to Fade) is quite interesting considering Dust to Dust is the funeral for the Queen.

When I found TW, I binge watched everything I could find for 2 weeks straight. It was 6 months before I listened to the Lunario concertina whole. Had no idea it was a concept album while I was binge watching early on. This song......6:58, when Ale sings "they don't go away", my eyes misted up. Now, knowing the story, my eyes tear up every time. Every one or these girls have made me cry with their voices. And their lyrics take me to another dimension.

Next Dust To Dust fits in the story because it's the Queen speaking to you from beyond death inviting you to listen to her story. You should listen to it again on your own now that you know the story the prologue takes on a new perspective.

Like you said telling a coherent story is difficult enough but doing it across 13 very different sounding pieces of music, as teenagers none the less, is nothing short of astonishing! Now that you're here, Dust to Dust was one of the last songs written, even though it starts the album. It is the funeral of the Queen. The Queen's good side is sung by Pau and the evil side is portrayed by Dany. But we did not know that at the beginning. So, at the funeral, the last thing we hear is the wailing lament of the Queen's evil side as she vanishes? goes to hell? something?
It is art to come back to/resolve the problem/issue started with, which you noted about the lyrics. However they also started and ended with Pau singing.

I've mentioned this before, but Dany was completely gone during this song with her haunting single note melodies behind Pau's powerful voice.
One of her most brilliant leads.
The look on her face when she comes back to reality and looks at Ale and Pau at the end is like "yeah....we just did that"
She didn't play it, it just came out of her....:)
    What a masterpiece!

I too am sad you're done with QoTMS for now (though I'm looking forward to the final Vlog). Remember you have 2 other albums to cover and quite a few awesome covers and/or venues to watch. But I do think for you even if you stop here for whatever reason, this album seems to have fit you well. Honestly I still get shocked watching this concert and I've seen it many times. Shocked and proud. I think the pure part of the pride is in witnessing people being so honest and creative and true to themselves and finding their joy in that. Many things try to close our hearts and minds through life, even at their ages here, but they keep bringing it day after day, year after year, together. That truly is special.

Thanks, my friend. I thoroughly enjoyed this journey with you, and your being a writer yourself, made this experience extra special.
Man, what a beautiful and poetic way to express or convey the demise (the suicide of the QUEEN). Don't now why I tear up at the end of this story every time, with empathy towards THE QUEEN - this crazy depraved person - it doesn't make sense! Guess it's the genius of these girls' storytelling.
P.S. after the vlog, I really hope you can react to COPPER BULLETS! Would luv to see what you think of that bit of writing.
    Take care, brother.

This QOTMS Album presentation at Lunario is a masterpiece artistic performance created and executed masterfully by teenagers! We have the ones (people/audience) who have noticed and the ones who have not. For me it is very impressive. Thank you Saeed, it was a great journey and reaction to this Album. @@SaeedReacts. They finished the set with the high energy ‘Survive’. Ale collapsed soon after going offstage. She was diagnosed with dehydration and exhaustion. The air is quite thin in Mexico City. I think she learnt from this because she now drinks lots of water onstage.
